Great clean little cabin!! 2nd time their Great place to relax!
We love staying at this house every year with our family. Love the location, seeing the train, walking distance to the Village and the park.
The house was clean. Location is good. Hot tub water was nice and clean as well. But the property needs to be kept up better, all the power outlets were loose and didn’t hold the power cords, the light of the backyard barely worked. No attachment to open and close the hot tub. And the toilet tanks were leaking.
I’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the past decade, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Cleanliness: The home was in very poor condition. The floors and blinds were covered in dust to the point where I would not recommend walking barefoot. There were cobwebs throughout.....on the lamp shades, in the corners, and even across furniture. On top of that, the bug situation was unacceptable. During our stay (in the middle of a hot week, with no AC), the home was full of bugs. I suspect windows or doors were left open during cleaning, as I even found bugs in my bed when pulling back the sheets. Home Amenities: The best part of the stay was being able to get out of the house. Having SHARC passes included and being so close to Sunriver Village was a plus. The location is also near the railroad; while this could be a drawback for some, I didn’t find the trains disruptive during sleeping hours. The furniture is very outdated, but at least the quality was decent. Surprisingly, this is the first rental property I’ve stayed at that did not offer complimentary coffee. In addition, the kitchen was understocked.....very limited pots, pans, and dining plates. This didn’t affect me much since I was on a work trip, but if I had been staying with my family, it would have been frustrating. Guest Services: One positive note, guest services was very responsive. We had some confusion with our keypad code at check-in, but their team was easy to contact and resolved the issue quickly. Overall: While the location and access to SHARC were nice, the lack of cleanliness and the bug issue made this stay extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this home unless significant improvements are made to the cleaning standards and upkeep.
The house is in a good location for reaching Fort Rock and the Sharc Center by bike. The village is only about a 3-minute drive which is also nice. All the Sharc Center passes were there, and we had no issues getting into the pools. One thing we didn't realize is that the house backs up to the train tracks, and freight trains come through multiple times a day, as late as 11:30 PM. There is no fence so kids can just walk up to the tracks, it's a little scary to be honest. The kitchen is lacking useful cookware (one small stainless frying pan), lots of pots but not a lot of helpful items. There also are no food storage containers at all. The decks had lots of nail heads sticking up as well. There are only two bikes at the house, and they are not in great condition. The hot tub did work great though. The bunk room upstairs could use some work. It has lots of sleeping space for kids, but the floor creeks very loudly. If you are sleeping in the room below it, you can hear every SINGLE move that is made in the bunk room. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but I would not stay at this specific house a second time. Guest services also failed to recover some forgotten items for us in a timely manner. It took nearly 11 days to get a call back with our items, even though we were told it would be five.
It was quiet and good space. Dishwasher was not fastened properly, but they got right over to fix it.
