Tinker House and Tinker House Cottage

The location is great, as we could walk to town and the beach. Lots of amenities in the kitchen, as well as numerous entertainment options. Great for large groups, as we had six couples. Would stay there again.

Ten members of our family just finished a five day stay at this location. Lets start with some positives; Location, Location, Location; less than a ten minute walk to the edge of the Ocean or downtown. Five minutes to have our bikes on the Discovery Trail. Lots of board games to use, along with kites for the beach. Lots of parking out front, sleeping accommodations for 14 if you have both houses like we did. Now, some things that we felt could have been better: Little House Issues: · The refrigerator and dishwasher both leaking; water dispenser and ice maker didn’t work. · Had to disinfect the washer before using it. · One of the upstairs bedrooms had a strong, unpleasant odor; we had to leave the door closed. · Dirty windows, holes in upstairs screens, damp and dirty carpets, and filthy window coverings. · Insufficient body wash provided. · Outdoor Stairs lacked safety skids—very unsafe. · Yellow residue around ceiling lights. · The microwave turntable didn’t fit properly, and the unit wobbled. Big House Issues: · Dusty shelves, dirty dustpan, and filthy window sills. · No sponges or dishcloths provided. · Deck was hazardous—raw wood with splinters, uneven new boards-trip hazards, rusting metal, and a missing rail. · Shower window broken; dishwasher face peeling. Both Kitchens: · Not fully stocked: broken can opener, missing measuring cups and spoons. · Several burned-out light bulbs. Courtyard: · Broken smoker, rusted table, not enough chairs for the second table. · The new barbecues already dirty and molding. · Broken paver step—another safety hazard. The biggest disappointment: I specifically requested a fenced yard and there was none. 2 / 2 Overall, this property was poorly maintained, unclean, and had hazards in several areas. This establishment charges a premium price, but the property is not in premium condition, this was unacceptable and extremely disappointing. We would not recommend this rental and hope management addresses these issues before hosting future guests.

It was very beautiful and very cozy. We celebrated our anniversary of 25 years and it was perfect for our family.

My real estate team stays here every year for our annual retreat. It's an adorable property with everything you need for a fun stay at the beach, and very idyllically located. Walk to the beach, walk to town, walk to the playground and ball fields. Walk to Scoopers and get an enormous triple scoop waffle bowl to share with the whole family!
