Spacious home with private hot tub, deck, fireplace, & W&D

The house was great! Plenty of room to roam and not feel cramped. We had 3 toddlers with us and they absolutely loved the kids nook with all of the awesome toys. Nice big kitchen with plenty of utensils to cook with. Plenty of beds for all. Great fireplace!! The bad; Beds were terrible. Didn’t have a good night sleep any of the nights. Sheets were crappy, pillows felt like a cheap motel variety and the mattress you could literally feel the circular shape of the springs. The HVAC system was pretty inconsistent. 1 room would be extremely hot while another was freezing cold(had to wear a beanie to bed, kind of cold). The locks on the doors were a pain. They’re the type that allows you to open from the inside, but maintains locked on the outside. So if you go into the garage and forget that, you’re locked out if it closes behind. Happened a few times. I would rent this cabin again, but not before looking at other cabins first.

Adaptable is the word if you are renting this home. At the right price it can be suitable. Location in SR is terrific and very peaceful. However no A/C and no air filtration system make it challenging in heat, and _very_ challenging in summer fire/smoke season. We came prepared with extra fans and 'stay cool' plans. The lowest level with 2 BRs stays pretty cool, but the main floor can easily reach 80 during a 90+ degree day unless you have cooled the place down to sub 60 at night and manage the blinds. The place is older with some deferred maintenance (deck boards are rough with nail heads exposed, old cracked outdoor dining table, grill overdue for grease clean (danger), water stains on the gorgeous hemlock ceiling, old coffee maker and stovetop kettle without whistle (we bought an elec one and left it), stovetop surface damage, older microwave) but functional, generally comfortable (bed mattresses could use updating), and, darn big. The hottub is fantastic. (Shoutout to Sonny from H2O Specialties!) Kitchen cookware is fine, cupboards are slightly disorganized, some pots/trays were greasy. Big garage is awesome. Loads of towels & linens and kitchen starter pack was super. When we arrived surfaces/bathrooms were spotless, but - the hottub controller was broken, fireplace was full of ash, fridge water filter was overdue, and we lost power in the bathrooms. Vacasa was absolutely _amazing_ about sorting everything with lightning speed and courtesy - gosh darn impressive team A+++++. Really blown away by the exceptional service (often within an hour or 2) and will seek them out as hosting company again.

The house is big, has everything you need, but is very dated. Be careful on the outside deck, do not walk barefoot as the wood is not smooth and the boards are coming up in certain places. If you get underneath the deck and look up you can see The deck is in bad shape as it is rotting away. The front door sometimes does not lock so you have to go out the garage door. Overall, the house was OK, I would not stay there again. Have rented many other houses in Sunriver all were much better.

The homey feeling of this beautiful home. It was comfy and cozy even though a large home. The large table was perfect for family game nights and also big family dinners. We loved having the SHARC tags and even in the snow went tubing. We would rent this one again in a heart beat. Maybe in the summer.

Had the best time here during our first stay, we had to come back :)
