The place was reasonably furnished, though we had to repair the futon which had come apart. It was mostly clean, though could have used a bit more cleaning as the freezer was dirty, the deck was a mess and the bedroom was missing a cabinetry door exposing some gross possible mold. We stayed out of the bedroom and slept in the living area. Be cautious as in the fine print it states it is not completely dog friendly as the title suggests. Also, they give an incredibly short amount of time (about 24hrs) to cancel or change the reservation so by the time you discover the fine print you will be paying them, regardless of if you stay there or not. The hot tub took over 24hrs to heat up and seems as though it's on its last leg and kept turning the jets on and off and only stayed hot for about 45 minutes. The view was beautiful from the hot tub, however!
We were unable to gain access to the cabin for over an hour and as I initially walked up. I almost slipped due to the deck being covered with debris. The key code pad on the door was inoperable, which was previously stated in the reviews of this place and was supposed to have been addressed. We finally got access by calling vacasa support to get the code to the lock box which had the emergency responders key. The second I walked in, I got hit with an overwhelming mildew / moldy smell. Also all the debris the deck was covered in was getting tracked inside because there was no way to wipe our feet off due to the welcome mat also being covered in debris. We tried to turn the built in furnace on with no success. We finally were able to get the mini split wall unit working after fidgeting with the controller for 15 minutes. I went to try and cook dinner for my girlfriend and I on the Barbecue grill which was filthy and it would not light. The propane tank attached to it is rusted and clearly shouldn't be in use. After all that we tried to use the hot-tub which was supposed to be the highlight of this cabin and the water was cold because the controller clearly was inoperable and had been damaged. As well as the access panel to the pump and heating element was just exposed to people and the elements which is an electrical hazard as well as a hazard to any individual who tries to use the tub. The controller was no longer sealed from water so that's another electrical hazard which could electrocute somebody. There were spiders all over the inside of the cabin as well as mosquitos. There was visible mold in the bathroom. The dishes were not clean. The whole place was dirty. Very disappointed with this unit. The listing is completely misleading.
When we arrived to the unit, the door code did not work. There was a lock box but we were not given the code. Since there was no cell service , we had to drive 15 minutes down the road until we had service and contacted the property management company. We were able to get a hold of them and got the lock box code. Rather than go on, here are our takeaways: - photos do not look like property. - tons of mosquitos. - the hot tub is maybe 2 feet deep so you cannot sit down or have more than two people. - dishes were not clean. Some had rust. - the bed was very uncomfortable and hard to get in and out of as it was sunken in somehow. - everything was smaller than expected. - the bathroom is similar to a small RV. I could barely sit down and use the restroom. - weird animal smell almost like urine. - hot water in shower maybe lasts 5 minutes. All in all, I cannot honestly say I would reccomend this place to anyone.
There were some spiders and the house needed to be dusted a little bit. It smelled clean and was very beautiful scenery to wake up to. Hot tub wasn’t hot and wouldn’t stay up to temp once we got it hot.
I've booked this cabin twice and the 2nd time was solely for the hot tub because it's nicer than the others. The cabin is always dirty and smells bad or like dog pee upon arrival. Both times the keypad didn't work, this time it was just completely disassembled so there was no lock on the door at all, and the door was open when we checked in. Like I said, the hot tub is nice, but I wouldn't recommend this cabin to anybody else until the owner decides to start actually taking care of it. Also mold and spiders + spider webs everywhere. 2 of the windows don't have blinds or screens, and one of the windows was broken.
This was an extremely expensive and disappointing experience. My son and I were excited to stay in this cabin because we had been camping and hiking for weeks but soon we felt like our tent would be a better option. When we got there, the door was open, and it looked as if someone had potentially been squatting. I have reached out to the company several times to get a refund complete with pictures. These pictures show things like the door to the bathroom not closing, broken furniture, hair on the sheets and blood stains on the comforter, water damage, evidence of mold, and have gotten no response. This is the first one star review I’ve ever left. I really do try to give the benefit of the doubt but this was unacceptable especially for the price in the astronomical “cleaning fee”.
