Overview
Aptly named for its walls of glass looking out over the ocean, The Fish Bowl treats you to stunning views of Brookings' dramatic coastline. In this beautiful spot in the heart of the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, you can wander down to Whaleshead Beach each morning and spend your evenings marveling at gorgeous sunsets and brilliant night skies from the warmth of the private hot tub.
This single-story home enjoys an oceanfront position just across the Oregon Coast Highway and up the hill from Whaleshead Beach. It's located in what is perhaps the most picturesque stretch of the entire Oregon Coast - a place to hike the Oregon Coast Trail, take photographs, and go for long, scenic drives. Harris Beach State Park, Cape Ferrelo, the Thomas Creek Bridge, Natural Bridges, and Arch Rock State Park are all within seven miles.
Greet each morning outside on the deck, with a cup of coffee in hand and breakfast set out at the outdoor table. It's a stunning spot to return to at sunset, with dinner searing away on the gas grill.
Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the same incredible scene inside, so you can watch for whale spouts on the horizon as you cook, dine, and gather around the table for board games. In the evenings, leave the day's swimsuits and clothing to spin in the washer/dryer, stream your favorite movies on the smart TV, and plan the next day's adventures using complimentary WiFi.

A wonderful Christmas with adult children. We love to cook and the home was well equipped and very clean - fresh crab the the boat and bread from a local market. We LOVE Whales Head beach and the view from the home and hot tub. The bed situation in room two was a little tight with a bunch bed - but otherwise amazing stay.
The property was as described and the beds were very comfy. The hot tub was pleasantly warm/hot. Ive stayed at other cabins within the property and the hot tubs would only get Luke warm. This one works very well. Overall this cabin pleasant and comfy, would definitely return.
Nice place to stay. Really close neighbors, but a beautiful view of the beach.
Right across the street from an amazing beach.
The area is great, the house was well-cleaned, and the view was alright, so it was an OK stay for my wedding and honeymoon, but First of all, the website and app both said this house has 1 king, 1 queen, and 1 double. It did not. It has 1 king, and 1 full-sized bunk bed (so 2 mattresses) maybe my fault for not doing a 3d tour. Then the dryer didn't work at all, (and had wet towels in it) and the washer had a note about issues on top of it. Of which the guest book said had been happening since april. So bring extra towels, cause management doesn't seem keen on fixing it There are also patched holes and a coat rack by the rear entrance that had broken off (we found it in the washer room) The soaps were a little low, and we just near ran out of toilet paper at the end (we brought 6 people, 4 left after 2 days, so we had 2 people for the rest of the 4 days) The website and app also said it includes Netflix, of which we were signed out of the bedroom after 2 days, so I assume these accounts are from customers, not management. Don't forget your Netflix password, and don't forget to sign out. And finally, there is no central heating. There are space heaters, an AC that didn't really blow hot, and a fake furnace thing for the viewing/dining area. Bring extra blankets if you are staying in the winter Despite all of this, which, if fixed wouldn't be too bad, we did enjoy our stay, and we would return
The home was filthy. Our family had no other option but to stay here for our booked days, we did not have the time or ability to make other arrangements after we checked in and realized the home’s state of uncleanliness. Due to no immediate property manager to help on site, I collected 15+ photos of various parts of the home to show the filth. The best part of the home is the view from the hot tub. Beautiful ocean view!
