Sadly this year things were different as far as cleanliness upon arrival. That said I’ve sent my insights to the teams and hope this is a learning experience. Some things in the home need fixing like a towel rod or door jam but not things that hinder the stay in it entirety. Safety concern would be one upstairs bedroom does not have a window screen and is at young kid level so take CAUTION! Aside from those I truly hope they get the carpets cleaned as we’ve never felt it smelled of dirty pet and this time the carpets definitely smelled of dirty pet smell. Again though it takes someone to let them know it’s needed as that’s not an each time cleaning job. Athe Vacasa listing photos are incorrect and not updated so be advised. They no longer have arcade games but do have pool table, poker table and ping pong table. The bunk beds are now all upstairs. 1 room is 2 sets (4 twin beds) and the other room 1 bunkbed and 1 queen bed (this is the room without a screen in window). Main level has 4 rooms each with a queen bed. Lower level now just has a seating area of couches paired with the pool table. The couch on the main level is different than photographed, it’s a huge multi sectional not multiple small couches. We love this home, it’s access to fun and that it fits our entire family in one home. That sad cleaning is important to us and if our next visit is not back to their previous standards then we will seek a new rental option even if it puts us under 2 roofs.
Upon arrival, we did experience trouble getting into the home, but that was quickly resolved and much appreciated. Once in the home, we continued to hear a loud beep and found that it was coming from the main floor fire alarm. I notified the same person who helped us enter the home right away and they stated that someone would come out and fix the issue. I then discovered that there was not a bunk room that contained the video games as shown in the photos. I then relayed that to the same party that was helping us with the fire alarm and they said they would check into that and get back to us. I did not hear back from them on that so I asked about it again and they said that when they had information, they would let us know, but I never did hear back on that. This was very disappointing as we had specifically rented this house paying much more for this home than others in the area partially due to that feature that we looked forward to for our grandchildren. We had shared pictures with our grandchildren, and they were very excited so when they showed up and there was no video games, they were disappointed. Also, there was a pool table however, there was only one pool stick, and the tip was not on it so the pool table was not playable either. No one ever showed up to fix the alarm, my husband was able to disconnect it so we didn’t have to listen to the beep, but then we didn’t have a working fire alarm with 15 people in the house. We also let them know that the lightbulbs were out in one of the dining room lights, and that made it very dim in that area at night. We moved a lamp from one side of the room over to the dining room so that we would have enough light to eat and for the children to do evening activities such as coloring and crafts. The next day we received a text message from someone who said they would be out to fix the fire alarm, they never showed. As far as cleanliness goes, the home appeared simply to be surface cleaned but certainly would not be considered clean overall. The refrigerator and freezer particularly were filthy. Additionally, there were food splatters on the wall, and the drawers and cupboards were dirty inside. The good points about this house are the ample sleeping room if you have a large family or big friend group you would like to share a home with. The location is outstanding being right at the base of Ski Bowl East. I would just say that for more than $2000 per night I felt it was a bit expensive for the overall experience.
Great location and comfortable space. Wasn't as clean as expected
It's a pity that the jacuzzi didn't work, but in general everything was great. Quiet, calm, cozy.
The house was spacious and had so much to offer, it never felt crowded despite the number of folks staying. It was conveniently located to town (we could walk there), so when we needed something for cooking it was just a few minutes way. Very comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. Will definitely try and stay again.
