The Mermaid's Den

The Mermaids Den is a bright and beautifully decorated two-level home with plenty of room for everyone. On the upper floor is the main room with the living, kitchen, and dining areas. You can relax on a comfortable sectional in front of the fireplace and take in the ocean views or watch a show on cable TV. The home’s balcony has patio furniture and is the perfect spot to admire a stunning sunset. After a day on the beach with the kids and family dog, return home and relax in this home’s private hot tub. The home is located on a private drive just across the street from the beach. Gold Beach, with its fun shops, great restaurants, and exciting Jet Boat rides on the Rogue River, is just over a mile from the home. Kids will love visiting the Prehistoric Gardens, just 17 miles away. THINGS TO KNOW Dogs are welcome for a small nightly fee. There is no boat or RV parking in this neighborhood and there is a limit of two cars per household. This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.

Great location. Easy access to the beach. We had great weather and enjoyed the ocean breeze while cooking. Hotub in the backyard was nice and laundry in the garage was handy.

This is our second time staying in this subdivision. Great location as it is directly on the beach. Guys went fishing... women walked the beach. If traveling to this area, I would highly recommend staying here.

The Family really enjoyed opening the Livingroom windows and listening to the ocean. Well stocked kitchen, and an easy walk to the beach. Had some great weather and look forward to coming back again.

We loved that the ocean was just a few short, easy steps away, The house was stocked well but the stairs to the kitchen and main living area was a bit daunting for us older folks and this house needed a good deep clean. We enjoyed our stay and made reservations for next year in one of the other houses whose main level is on the ground floor. The hot tub is a plus as well.

I would have rated this a five, but the house did not have a couple of amenities that were listed. There was no BBQ or fire pit. We called customer service to discuss and were promised a call back, but never heard from anyone. We were disappointed to not be able to grill the food we brought for the 4th of July and also to not be able to relax by the fire pit and roast marshmallows as we had planned. Other than these missing items we loved the house and location.
