Our biggest complaint truly was just the mattress. The home is located in a wonderful spot and for the value I would stay again I would just maybe bring my own air mattress or mattress topper. The home not having A/C wasn’t a huge deal at all, it cooled off nicely at night with lots of fans available as well.
The only thig that l like form this house its very close to the sark and the village.
The location was ideal! We used every fan because there is no a.c. Very comfortable home!
My family stays in Sunriver for the week between Christmas and New Years every year; we have experience booking rentals here. Upon arriving, we noticed the thermostats were set at 55 degrees - it was freaking cold in there. Granted, the check out instructions say to turn the thermostat to 55 degrees upon departure, but I'd think housekeeping or a Vacasa employee would go kick the heat on before a guest arrives. So, we jack the thermostats up and hope things warm quickly. We purposefully choose a rental with a fireplace every year, as we like the ambiance. However, we could not get the fireplace to turn on. After a couple of hours, the heat is sitting at 58 degrees. We have two small children, 7 months and 2 years, so I think I'll toss them in a hot bath to warm them up while we wait for the heat to work. I undress them and they are PURPLE. We get ahold of Vacasa as we are now feeling like the heat may not be working. We were told an HVAC company could come out. but they weren't sure the homeowners would like paying the afterhours fee....okayyy... So I was stuck cosleeping in a twin bed with my 7 month old to keep her warm, which is very dangerous and a true risk to her life. The house stayed at 58 degrees throughout the whole night. I could not sleep as I felt I needed to stay awake to make sure I did not suffocate my baby. The next day, we are told an HVAC company will be out between 9am and 7pm.... so we have to stay at the 58 degree house all day. Vacasa brought us 3 space heaters. We got the house up to 62 degrees. The company arrived around 6pm, spent over an hour there, and could not determine the issue. This was a Friday. The following day, we had no update from Vacasa, so we went into the local office. We were told no one in office knew about the situation... but that the manager would be in on MONDAY and could help us. They brought us 2 more space heaters. Now, with 5 space heaters (which are awful and unsafe when you have a crawling baby and a curious 2 year old) we can get the house to 65 degrees... BUT when you run them all, it trips the breaker. If we kept them on low, we could maintain the breaker, however it was below 20 degrees at night, so we had to turn them up. When the breaker tripped, we had to go OUTSIDE to the panel in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to get the breaker back on. The 5 space heaters were not only unsafe, a hazard to our children, but also barely got the house to a comfortable temperature. At one point we thought "let's just throw the family in the hottub"... but the hottub breaker had tripped and it was barely warmer than bathwater. We turned that breaker back on and the hot tub was eventually warm enough to use. Monday comes around and another HVAC company gets there - they diagnose and fix the issue in under 10 minutes. However, no one was able to fix the fireplace (an amenity we specifically look for). Vacasa refunded us for just over the cost of 1 night, when we spent 4 nights completely frozen. Don't stay here.
Fast response from the property, clean house, super cute set-up, easy check in and check out, great for a family vacation! Loved it!
Very central and convenient location in Sunriver with SHARC passes. We stayed in the middle of July and would have really liked some A/C as the heat upstairs was unbearable (even with extra fans provided by Vacasa). Furnishings and bedding were ok. We felt very much like we were staying in a rustic cabin vs a vacation home. Hot tub was nice. Would have been nice to have a place to store bikes during our stay (no garage).
