This is a cool property. The circular shape of this is unique and affords awesome views out to the woods and awe from kids. Fireplace is great, couch was new and comfy. Property was super clean. Hot tub worked great and was clean. As stated in the description, its a smaller home with walls that dont go to the ceilings, no dishwaher, but for us that didn't matter and the nightly price is low and reflects some of the trade offs. Recommend for a fun, unique place to stay
Being here twice, and as a couple we find this a great place, taking into consideration that the design of the house, without walls up to the ceiling, makes this a limited privacy stay. And one bathroom only, which could be a problem if fully occupied. The furniture is rustic but comfortable, nice TV, fantastic fireplace and very quiet location (aside of being next to the train tracks).
Quiet peaceful area, biking, desert museums, lava fields, light freight train traffic kinda adds to atmosphere soaking in lovely hot tub!
Had a great time and enjoyed the house, hot tub, bicycles, and proximity to all of the Sunriver fun!
The house is round and the walls are open at the ceiling so there are no ceiling lights or privacy. Very small kitchen and 1 small bathroom. No A/C., dishwasher or cable. Good water pressure and became hot quickly The hot tub was nice.
The home is run down, smells faintly of cigarettes or smoke, and its location next to the train track means multiple wake ups during the night feeling like you're about to be run over by a speeding freight train (it feels very close -- loud and quite alarming). The cleaning was basic. High traffic surfaces like the kitchen, bathroom, tables, and walkways were clean. Linens and dishes were clean. But there were visible cobwebs throughout, bugs were present in the home (some kind of beetle), and we observed food scraps, debris, carpet stains, soot around the fireplace, and discarded cigarettes in areas that didn't receive the basic cleaning. The entire home needs a deep cleaning. Maintenance is needed in several respects. A hot tub was advertised in the listing, but it was low on water, dirty, and cold (not running); could not be used due to the lack of maintenance/cleanliness. The back deck from the master bedroom is hazardous, with rotting boards and protruding screws right where you would want to walk from the back door to the hot tub if it was working. Several light switches did not work. There was not enough hot water supply for a group of 2 adults and 2 children to use the shower/bath (hot water ran out after one shower). The carpet is stained and worn, and protruding carpet staples in the entryway transition are hazardous to bare feet. The home really needs an overhaul to be more safe and comfortable. On the plus side, it had SHARC passes, Wifi, nice TV, and the basic amenities were covered (linens, comfortable furniture, etc). The overall experience was more like camping in a 1970's trailer than staying in a vacation home. Not what we expected after staying in some other lovely homes in Sunriver! I would not stay in this house again.
