Perfect location for a group wanting to golf at Bandon Dunes on the cheap. The house is very close to the links. The issues we had were the kitchen is very understocked if you’re going to cook for yourself. You’d better bring your own pots and pans as it only had the smallest pans. The pullout couches were very uncomfortable for the guys who didn’t get one of the four beds available. There weren’t enough blankets. There was no barbecue. I recommend the owners have foam pads to throw on top of the pullouts. Overall, we had an awesome time and would stay there again. Just bring our own cots and cookware/BBQ or plan on going out to eat. Can’t be the price.
Our stay at this Vacasa property was overall enjoyable, but there are a few things future guests should know: Arrival & Access: From HWY 101, the GPS directs you to Brown Rd., which is extremely rough and full of potholes. To save your suspension, I highly recommend coming in via Whiskey Run Lane to Jackie Rd. for a much smoother entry. The property itself is rural, wooded, and very private, with three driveways—plenty of space for multiple vehicles. One point of confusion: the address placard on the property does not match the address provided by Vacasa. Clearer communication on this would have been helpful. Additionally, the electronic lock instructions were incorrect, making it difficult to get inside—especially since we arrived in the dark. The Home: Once inside, the home impressed us. It’s modern, clean, and furnished with newer pieces. We stayed in late December, and it was very cold outside. Unfortunately, there were no instructions for the HVAC system, which was finicky. The fan wouldn’t start on “auto,” so we had to leave it on full-time “On.” Even then, the heat was weak and took hours to warm the house. Thankfully, we found space heaters in the bedroom closets, which helped, but it still took about three hours to get comfortable. Once warm, the house stayed cozy thanks to excellent insulation. Comfort & Amenities: The beds were firm—too firm for our taste—and the master bed felt a bit old, but we still slept well. A minor inconvenience: no power strip near the bedside tables. The master bathroom shampoo dispenser barely worked, which was frustrating. On the positive side, the sofa in the larger living room was the most comfortable couch we’ve ever sat on—everyone loved it! Location: The property is great for a large family gathering. It’s private yet conveniently located within walking distance of a nice restaurant and only about 12 minutes from Bandon and the state park. Overall: Despite a few hiccups, we had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay here again. With better communication on directions, lock instructions, and HVAC operation, this could easily be a five-star experience.
It was spacious and clean. Unfortunately more negatives than positives.
The home is in a convenient location for golf at Bandon Dunes, however it is overall quite basic which interesting light switches that didn't work or worked in weird ways, and had some pretty uncomfortable couches and chairs. Good value but a pretty basic home.
We had a great time and would love to visit again. Very clean and open with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is very bare so plan to bring all the cooking seasonings you would need with you. There are also no board games or puzzles, so if playing games when the coastal weather is crummy is what your family enjoys, plan to bring those also. This place was great for our family and we hope to go back again.
