Love the cabin in the woods feel, while being just blocks from beach access.
The windows were a great feature to view nature.
Was very clean and roomy.
This property needs some TLC . Be prepared to get your own toilet paper if you are staying more than a day. It had a strong musty smell. It’s a great location and the fireplace helped get rid of the musty smell. Plenty of firewood is there to use. (That was nice)
In the woods with a mere two block walk to Haystack Rock one way or town the other way - made it a perfect location. The house was also very quiet. Great for sleeping. And the elks parading by were a treat.
This is my third time staying at Haystack Hideaway. Such a great location. Walking distance to everything making for an easy-going, convenient, relaxed vacation. If you are looking for high-end luxury, this is not your place. This is more along the lines of well-loved, rustic-cottage feel in the forest where you feel completely removed from the rest of the world. The carpet is old, much of the furniture is outdated, but serviceable, and it all works to create a quiet hideaway if that’s what you are looking for. I’ll be back again!
