Dog-friendly ocean-view home with gas grill, deck, gas fireplace, washer&dryer

First, good location. But some negatives. Lugging coolers and luggage up the uneven stairs from the street to the house is not easy. Not adequately cleaned. The lighting in primary bathroom is not good. Incomplete measuring tools available for cooking. No measuring cups at all. The light in the primary bathroom is horrible. We won't rent this one again.

We rented this house in the summers of 2025 and 2026. Unfortunately there is a problem with the garbage and the neighbors. In 2025 we arrived and the garbage was overflowing when we arrived. I thought surely it will be emptied during our 5 day week-day stay. NOPE. It was never emptied and it was smelly and awful. SO....this year we arrive and I check the garbage immediately. It is overflowing and some of it is on the ground. Within 5 minutes of our arrival I call the local property management number and report the problem. They assure me someone will arrive first thing the following morning and take care of the overflowing garbage. The next morning, garbage still there. Noon the garbage still there. Then there is a loud rapping on the door and it is an irate neighbor who begins to YELL at me because of the garbage and then goes on a litany of grievances he has with this VACASA property. Too many people stay there, garbage all the time, too much noise etc...... he refuses to listen to my explanation that I am innocent in all of this and he continues to yell at me until I have to shut the door on him. Welcome to the start of a very stressful stay !!! The aftermath is I call the property management people again. Someone finally comes to take of the garbage and they ONLY take half the garbage from the garbage can.....so upon our departure the can is brimming full again. We will never stay there again or recommend it. Garbage problems two year in a row. This is a broken system and residence.

We loved the cabin feel, the ocean views, and proximity to the beach.

Walkability was great. Unfortunately cannot recommend due to lack of cleanliness.

Wonderful view and a great deck, although we were there in December and so didn't use it. House is a bit dated, except for the kitchen and bathrooms which have been remodeled recently. Access to the house is only from the street level up 15-20 uneven stairs which can be challenging to haul up heavy ice chests and suitcases, especially at night or when they are wet and slippery.

We love Brynmarie - it is a great place to stay in Manzanita. This was our second stay there and the house is just the right size for us and our dog. We love to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down and then make a delicious dinner in the well appointed kitchen. It is a short walk to downtown Manzanita. And the public beach path across the street makes it super easy to get to the beach.
