Aptly named, this cute cottage is decorated with whale art on the walls and whale knickknacks throughout. As soon as you step through the door, you will fall in love with the style of this home. The open floor plan has an inviting ambiance, wood floors, and a comfortable living room with a brick fireplace that's perfect to snuggle in front of on those chilly nights. The kitchen is open and perfect for carrying on conversations with your family while preparing a delicious meal. The dining area opens onto a lovely deck. The two bedrooms are off the living room. When you step outside into the delightfully decorated backyard you will feel all your worries melt away. Enjoy the backyard with its lounge chairs and delightful rock patio. Make sure you bring your lovely family dogs as well to this dog-friendly home. THINGS TO KNOW Dog-friendly There is no AC available This home will have a seasonal gas grill that is generally available from May through September, depending on inclement weather.

As always, Gray Whale is comfortable, well-furnished, & warm for a winter stay. Several old favorite restaurants nearby are open in winter—Wanda’s & River Fish in Nehalem, Offshore Grill in Manzanita along with a new place, Spinn. The Little Apple Grocery continues to offer good deli options. We even had a few sun breaks from the standard winter rain. The front door lock was fixed, after a phone helper told us how to access the key. No great need in Manzanita to worry, but glad it was repaired.

We had a very comfortable stay, even though we did not spend much time in the house. We were looking for a clean, pet friendly property and this was very adequate!

Good location, walkable to everything, well stocked kitchen, situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood. For me, I question having more than 2 people staying here. If being in a house with close quarters is not a problem for you, this house is perfect. Rental agencies are represented in Manzanita, except for Vacasa. The office looks vacated, should a problem arise.

Super location, lovely backyard, total privacy, great kitchen amenities, lovely fireplace, comfortable beds, warm reception to dogs , with dog towels! Super comfortable couch, plenty of reading lamps. Small bathroom with limited counter space, but manageable. We love this place.
