Charming Dog-Friendly Condo with Ocean View - Close to Beach & Nye Shops

Nice property, with a great view of the ocean, between other houses and such. The mattress I slept on will not be dreamt about in the future. Kitchen was well stocked, although the front burner on the stove either wasn't properly installed, or the wrong size or broken. I cooked several meals while we were there, although I brought my own essentials. The rest of this review concerns the property management company. When you book this property via Vacasa you will be sent to the Avari MGMT site to go through their portal, where you will need to Verify your ID using a wonky 3rd party ID verification app Agree to an additional set of Terms & Conditions on the Avari site Then, a week before you are set to arrive, you will get the following email “We have not received the full payment for your reservation. This is an urgent reminder to secure your booking and avoid automatic cancellation. Please complete your payment within the next 24 hours. If payment is not received within this timeframe, your reservation may be canceled and the availability of your selected dates can no longer be guaranteed.” I wonder how many people book the condo thinking that they have paid at booking and then skip over or don’t see this email and end up losing their reservation? I wonder if this is a #’s game for Avari? In the future, I will avoid booking a spot with Avari. And, once you have paid, you don’t get an email, you get a confirmation via text, and it comes several hours after you have made the payment.

Short walk to beach and Nye Beach shops. Central location means fairly easy drive to either end of Newport. Had a small problem the first night and manager responded quickly and took care of things promptly.

Homey atmosphere, very comfortable beds. Close to beach.

The location is perfect with just a short, 2 blocks, walk to the beach. The place is older but very cozy and comfortable… perfect for relaxing and having the dog along. The kitchen has everything you could want if you needed to cook dinner or bake cookies. It’s close to restaurants and a bakery that were really good. We liked it a lot and will recommend it to friends. The fact that it was 70 degrees in early February didn’t hurt either.

Nice location but part of a 4-plex with a shared Laundry room. I must have missed that in the listing.

We stayed for 6 days and everything was perfect. It is older but quaint and very quiet, never heard anything other than the ocean when I opened the door early am. Ocean, food and shopping just a walk away. Also this place accepted our dog , as did every restaurant and shop we wanted to visit. Just perfect!
