Great little house for a weekend getaway - driveway is very steep so if you have a low car, use side street as entrance. Also make sure you have the right lockbox code - should be 4 digits. House was clean and tidy and otherwise fine.
Location, affordable, view, customer service
This unit is very cute, clean, modern and location is great. However - it sounded like a herd of elephants was staying above us. We were woken both at night after we went to bed and before we woke up the next morning. There must be zero insulation in the ceiling, between the two units. There were a couple communication issues with Vacasa/host but not terrible.
As this is a studio, I thought it would be small. It is large, with a full kitchen, full bath that has a deep tub, large closet to hang clothes and plenty of floor space for morning exercises.
Clean and very cozy, especially when it was misty and rainy out. Loved the bathtub. Will definitely be coming again to enjoy the peace and beauty of the town and area!
Starting with what was good: In general, the unit was clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was nice. Towel warmer and heated floor. Even though the yard is weeds (but mowed), a mama deer and two fawns wandered through one afternoon. The property is close enough to walk to some businesses/restaurants. The studio unit has no view. Now, the not so good: Turning onto Carter Lane, the neighbor property is a bit scary. Like a hoarder/junkyard. I am a single woman traveling alone and the entrance to the unit is at the back of the home and quite secluded. The unit was not very comfortable due to lack of furnishings. There is just a small table, two rolling office chairs, a TV tray and two filing cabinets used for night stands. Nothing to lounge on. No headboard. No place to get comfortable. There is no place to put your suitcase. The kitchen supplies are a weird mish-mash of stuff. The cookware was not in great condition. There are so many things that were disappointing. The bathtub drip was constant and annoying. The blinds on the doors did not fully cover and a lot of light came in and did not allow for privacy. The bathroom door did not fully close. The TV screen was dark, even on brightest setting and the cable service was all news all the time. Ugh. As noted in other reviews, any movement in the upper unit is heard in this lower unit. When I took the trash out to the bin, as instructed for checkout, both cans were overflowing.
