On summer days, you'll be busy searching for waterfalls, kayaking, paddling, fishing, hiking, or exploring nearby state parks. Winters are best spent enjoying a variety of snow sports on Mt. Hood, just 60 miles away. Take a trip into central Stevenson, within a mile, there are many restaurants, breweries, cafés, and shops. Inside the upper home, you can enjoy the vaulted ceiling that lets in lots of natural light and the open, updated kitchen equipped with all new stainless steel appliances. Spend your evenings on one of the decks to watch the beautiful sunset over the mountain and take in the overlook of the almighty Columbia River. Smart TVs on each floor provided flexible entertainment. The studio also includes a convenient full kitchen. This is a well-maintained home and it's great that there are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. If you do have 6-8 people though, there really isn't any place to hang out inside that comfortably fits everyone. Unfortunately we had a really rainy weekend and were stuck inside for the most part. It worked ok, but just something to be aware of. There's just a loveseat and one chair in the main living space and otherwise you have to use the folding chairs around the convertible table. There are several lock boxes and key pads, so getting in was a little tricky and the lock to the house requires you push in once the key is inserted, otherwise it just spins. Took us a while to figure out. Still a worthwhile spot and a great location!

Perfect! Off the beaten path but in the heart of town, retreat. So many well thought out features. Open, clean, airy design. Good use of light and space. The ping pong table and dart board were a huge hit for our group. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice place for family stay when attending an event at Skamania Lodge. Loved having a view of the river, comfortable beds, coffee and coffee makers, ping pong table provided entertainment, and you can walk into town and down to the river.
