Our family enjoyed a quiet winter weekend at Rustling Waters Retreat. The location is beautiful and private, with forest and a nice open field next to Clear Creek. The house was comfortable, and communication from the property manager and access was all very easy. We would definitely go again!
This home is charming. We loved the view with the wall of windows, the hot tub, the area by the creek, and ample comfortable seating for family movie time. It was comfortable for the 6 of us.
This cabin is cozy and peaceful. It has everything you need. Our stay was short, so we didn't cook, but the kitchen was a good size, the bedding and bathrooms were clean, and the view from the living room was stunning. The backyard leads down to the river and my family and I just sat outside and listened to to sounds of the river, it was fantastic. The location makes it a great base for doing various activities around Mt. Hood. We went to Little Zig Zag Falls, just 15 minutes away and less than a mile hike (round trip) and saw one of the most beautiful series of waterfalls. Trillium Lake is also close and has a wonderful 2-mile loop. Both hikes were very easy. My family and I will definitely return to this cabin!
the place is just lovely. i was a little concerned about it being a little close to the road (because of our dog) buy that worry instantly vanished when we walked around back. a giant magical open yard surrounded by huge trees and giant ferns. provided shade, sun, and of course a river! so much space to run and play. and while it was hot outside, the house stayed nice and cool. a great time was had by all.
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. It’s surrounded by trees and feels very private and quiet. The best part was the creek in the backyard — we loved listening to the water and sitting outside to relax. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch, short hikes in the woods nearby, and campfire at night. It was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy nature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway
We loved so much about this property; from the location, the floorplan, and the amazing backyard. The home for the most part was clean with the glaring exception of a TON of spider webs, both inside and outside. I walked into the living room and a spider was hanging from its web at eye level to me, and when we went to bed the first night, by wife turned over her pillow and there was a huge wolf spider on the bottom of her pillow. The outside of the property is covered in spider webs as well. I know that the property is in the middle of the woods and there are naturally spiders and insects, but a simple monthly power wash would remove the problem, and an exterminator and regular cleaning to take down spider webs seems like a reasonable solution. Also, we were here for a week and I think it'd be appropriate to provide more supplies than someone who is staying for a day or two. The kitchen has quite a few missing tile trim pieces on the countertops as well, so this property has huge potential, but is in desperate need of attention.
