This home is in a prime location, within walking distance to pretty much whatever you need (including delicious tacos & a toy store) & just a short drive to a grocery store. The home was plenty large for our family, and we were grateful for the comfortable stay. As mentioned in previous reviews, the only shower is downstairs, away from the sleeping areas… not a major inconvenience, just something to be aware of & plan for. At the time of our stay, the stove was not working, which we were not aware of upon arrival so our meal plans had to change after purchasing groceries. Hoping it is either remedied by the next person’s stay or advertised as not working, so folks can plan ahead.
The location could not have been better. Stairs up to bedrooms were a challenge for us since we are older, but we managed. Kitchen is pretty amazing. WiFi was good. Great view from balcony of one of the bedrooms. One bedroom was more suited to children than an adult. Downstair’s bathroom sink had reversed hot/cold, but once we figured it out, was not a problem. Very quiet.
This house is in a great location. Very walkable to shops and restaurants.
First, the "bad" (which was not so bad)....as others have mentioned in reviews the upstairs bath is only a bathtub with shower handle and the sink is difficult to use as it is placed up against a sloped wall (which could be easily fixed with cabinet sink). That and the fact that the people in the other 2 bedrooms upstairs had to go downstairs to use a bathroom makes it not the best place for an older person getting up several times a night. And yes, the stairs are a bit creaky. That all said, everything else was great. The place is much nicer inside than the pics show it. The kitchen/dining/living area is great. There is a kiler porch off the front upstairs bedroom which is great to sit on and have your coffee and watch the wind on the river. The outdoor patio could handle a group of 10 for drinks & apps. The BBQ worked great. And the location can't be beat. it is right on the edge of downtown which made me worried it would be loud, but it wasn't at all. You are within 2 blocks of Lake Tacos (great!), Mike's Ice Cream (better!), a weed store and a winery (depending on your vices) and 5 mins drive to Event Site for watersports
The location of this house next to downtown is hard to beat. Very spacious for a family group.
