Vintage cabin in a super convenient location
We loved the location and the spacious home, really comfortable, obviously a well loved family home. Lots of games, lots of dishes and serving platters, lovely big dining table. Needs outdoor furniture and the beds are old, but lovely experience
Superb atmosphere and quaint cabin.
The owner and Vacasa did not respond to our issue of no heat, freezing temp inside...got up to 52 degrees, frozen shower drain so we couldn't use the shower, breaker flipping when we used the space heaters, and broken oven that would not turn on. They refused to help us except finally to give us some wood. They ignored all other issues...they said they would give a credit for these things but did not follow through. I have never ever given a bad review for anything before, including a rental. But this time it was just beyond belief that they did not take care of things! The house is cute, quaint, and we really liked it, but the living conditions were terrible because of the cold and the cooking conditions. I hope they follow through on the credit. We had to spend alot of money buying wood, because you do need to heat with wood, and owner does not provide it!!! :( Grrrr
My family spent the last weekend of the year at the charming Alpiniste Souriant. It's a beautiful property within walking distance of town. The only downside is that it gets quite cold in winter, relying on the fireplace for heat. Despite that, it's a cozy and delightful spot!
We loved the location and bones of this home. It clearly was a labor of love with a great history. It does need a few repairs and updates. A good deep cleaning to remove some of the dust and pet dander would be good.
