Charming downtown Joseph is only six miles north as well. No matter how you spend your days, you'll love coming home to this cozy space in winter, spring, summer, or fall. This cabin is a beautiful, quiet, and comfortable retreat nestled in the woods, just about a mile from the lake. It’s also conveniently close to the Wallowa Lake Tramway, which is well worth the money! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to prepare your own meals. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The living and dining area is spacious, with lots of seating for relaxing or gathering together. The front porch is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee. Be sure to walk around the north side of the cabin, where you’ll find a nice patio area with a picnic table, propane grill, and even two kayaks with life jackets available for guest use. This cabin truly offers a great mix of comfort, convenience, and thoughtful touches. We have already decided we will be returning!

If there was a deck off the back of the cabin, my rating would be an A+. The only location on the property to enjoy the outdoors and/or eat outside was on the north side of the cabin which was less than ideal considering the ring outdoor camera located directly above you.. This made being outside very awkward and uncomfortable. Due to this, we spent all our time indoors. If you’re elderly, or have physical limitations, the location was quite the trek to walk to walk down to lodge and back. The hill you have to climb up to the cabin is pretty steep, but other than that, things were nice.

After checking in left for dinner. Upon returning fed our dog in the room adjacent to kitchen and discovered exposed fiberglass insulation hanging from ceiling. The door separating this room from kitchen was open upon our check in. We were not comfortable staying and left next morning. We requested a refund and sent pictures of the ceiling but the next day were denied a refund. Stay here at your own risk.
