As its charming name implies, Nana and Papa's is a true retreat on the shores of Wallowa Lake that will make you feel like a kid again. In this spectacular spot overlooking the lake and mountains, you'll have floating swim docks at the water's edge, an incredible deck that wraps around the house, and a flat and expansive yard for lawn games (the only lakefront home on the lake's west side with a lawn). This three-story, lakefront home sits close to the midpoint of Wallowa Lake's western shore, about four miles south of downtown Joseph. It's the perfect setting for all of your outdoor adventures, whether you're kayaking, paddleboarding, or embarking on fishing excursions to catch your dinner. Hike a portion of the famous Wallowa River Loop Trail, take a ride on the Wallowa Lake Tramway, or spend a day at Wallowa Lake State Park, all within 10 miles. Come winter, head to Ferguson Ridge Ski Area only 14 miles east. A highlight of this home is the enormous deck overlooking the lake, where you can sit down for alfresco breakfasts and linger with your coffee in the gazebo. In the afternoons, host barbecues on the gas grill, relax to a serenade of bird song, and watch your kids play in the immense yard below. The interior is woodsy and welcoming, offering gorgeous views throughout and warm details of wood, brick, and stone.
