Thank you for another great stay! It is a wonderful space for a cozy, romantic coastal retreat! Always number one on our list and already looking forward to our next stay!
I loved this place! Perfect size, great view, all the amenities you need if you don’t plan on cooking. You still have access to the pool, hot tub, small gym and the dock for crabbing. However my favorite part was the bathroom! Walking barefoot on the heated floors felt great and warming up in the large tub after being out in the wind and rain. Also there is room for two in the tub. 😊
We mainly chose this place for the bathtub and the jets weren't working. I also would advise new couples that this may not be the pick for you, there is nothing but a set of blinds separating the whole bathroom from the rest of the place, so if you're pooping and your partner is on the bed, you are about 10 feet apart lol. It was fine for us, we've been together 12 years, but for a newer couple it could be awkward. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, the mattress is super thin and there are places that dip really low on the bed so you keep rolling into them. It's also extremely close to the ground so getting on and off the bed can be difficult. We also had an experience with a staff person just barging into the room the first night, no knock or anything. They did stop when they realized we were there and apologized but still, I was sitting on the bed in my underwear and it was a little uncomfortable. It also made us feel weird about leaving valuables sitting out in the room. The only other issue was the in the tiny fridge the freezer is totally iced up so you can't use it and I had bought a couple popsicles and they were melting so I had to eat them really quickly. The view is really nice though, we loved the balcony and saw some sea lions swimming around. The room is also cute and was very clean. The final issue we had was that we wanted to move our reservation over 1 single day, so from Monday-Wednesday to Tuesday-Thursday. We figured it shouldn't be a huge deal, but they wanted to charge us a further $200 to do so!! We checked the website and we could've added an entire extra night on for a bit less than that. It just felt kind of exploitative. Luckily we were able to cover my partners suddenly added work shift so we could keep our original days but it was very stressful and I was disappointed that they refused to work with us at all and just wanted to get as much money as possible out of us.
Nice location, clean pool and spa area
Very clean. Nice stay
This was a really quiet unit. There was a bit of a hike up stairs so just be aware of that before renting in case of any old dogs or accessibility issues. We brought our two dogs with us and it was easy enough to take them downstairs to do their business. I think people with dogs will appreciate being told it is quiet up here in case your pup is on "high alert" a lot of the time. You can open the door to the balcony and hear the boats and distant sea lions which was so relaxing (not in a loud obnoxious way but in a very calming far away manner). The bathroom is luxurious and also...a part of the room itself. There is a door but the wall divider to the bed is simply a window cutout with blinds you can put down if you want privacy. All in all this was a wonderful stay, I'd come with dogs again if I was able. Maybe if the jets were working on that tub I'd be more willing to give the 5. Just kind of an annoyance like others have said. Since....we come to these sorts of places rarely so would like for everything to be working. It isn't like we have hot tubs with jets at home. But the stay was relaxing.
