Once again, a cozy and relaxing cabin experience. The character of the former owner, "Papa Bear", is evident in the contents of the bookshelves, choice of art, movie selection, etc. Beds are comfy and appliances work well. The river views are beautiful, and the hot tub is always nice.
This was my second time coming to this cabin, unfortunately a little bit of a rocky stay at the end, we had some sort of plumbing issue and jacuzzi issue. I will give thanks to getting help from the local rep and getting us situated so quickly. This place is nice, it just may need some small updates, but all in all i still like the cabin
absolutely beautiful place to stay.
We rented the Papa Bear cabin in late October 2025. The good: the cabin is on the river, very nice. Hot tub hot and clean upon arrival. Parking in front of garage for 2 cars. Close neighbors but nice and they were quiet. Dogs in neighborhood. Master bedroom on first floor comfortable. Bathroom has wonderful water pressure and hot water. Kitchen well stocked with small dishwasher. Beautiful fireplace. Two tables in kitchen and dining rooms. Quiet and relaxing. The bad: one leather loveseat and one leather chair. No rugs on floors. Cold and uncomfortable for larger parties. Two oven burners did not work. No place in bathroom to put stuff. Back door sticks. No kindling or fire starter provided - you have to chop your own wood from woodshed and bring paper. TV set up very high towards ceiling. Tons of debris on roof and windows. Deck needs refinishing badly. The spiral staircase to the second floor is not conducive to senior citizens, small children or pets. The final point: Although we had a very nice time, I expected more for the nightly price of this cabin. We probably won't rent again unless improvements made.
Beautiful river view, nice big hot tub, plenty of charm. Small but functional kitchen. It seems like they recently added a fence to improve the privacy factor. Not a ton of kid friendly stuff, but ours loved their cozy upstairs bedroom, and they had a great time. We’d book it again!
A very cute well appointed cabin right on the creek, very relaxing and enjoyable.
