We love this house and will definitely be back.
The house itself is fine, aside from the over chlorinated hot tub and rotting boards on the deck. It’s a simple cabin in the woods, nothing luxurious, which is great if that’s what you’re expecting. Both the indoor and outside fireplaces are large and firewood is not supplied, so if you want fires, plan accordingly. It’s a quiet spot with a very private backyard, and now that I know what to expect I’d stay here again
Really like this house, it's very private, right on the river, and close to the ski slopes. But, we did have bats in the house, multiple times, which means they have a way to get in and likely were in the house while we were sleeping, prompting our whole family to have to get the 4 dose rabies vaccine series recommended if you sleep in a room while bats are present.
First of all we had a wonderful vacation here. They thought of everything that you could possibly need including smores sticks. They do need to think of ways to make it safer though. It’s definitely not ADA accessible with the bedrooms upstairs and the multiple steps to get into the house and out to the river. The steps to get down to the fire pit and river need a handrail attached to them or built into the sand. You are balancing on a rock and then going onto unsteady stairs. Everything I messaged them while there was responded to very quickly. The decor was spot on with the cabin theme and beautiful! Every piece of furniture was built well. Be aware that the main bed is so tall like jump into it tall but it was comfy. The full mattress on the bottom of the bunk bed needs a mattress topper so badly. You can feel the springs in it. We ended up sharing a bed. Tip for getting there: don’t listen to Waze. It has you turning on the street before it. Also, the driveway comes up quickly and there’s limited room between the gate and road. In addition, the front door lock is a bit weird and turns red before you can even enter the code. Just keep trying. The WiFi is okay to watch a movie after it buffers but don’t depend on it for work or anything important. The entry to the river is a small six foot drop off so not ideal for kids. There’s a mini rock fire pit right next to the river which was really nice. No firewood is provided so make sure you bring by some. Overall a great stay. Just a few areas for improvement.
House was clean, property has amazing views with privacy, log cabin vibes were excellent.
We loved the setting. We loved the size of the cabin. The kitchen was great. The fireplace was great. Hot tub was very nice. Super close to the river, so the sounds were very peaceful. Couch was comfy. Well stocked with spices, plates, utensils, etc.
