Cozy cabinet with all the amenities needed for us to go snowboarding. Lots of hooks to leave things hanging to dry things out. Great location even for walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Would I recommend here? Yes
Easy to find, check in and out was simple. Small comfy place. Place was perfect for a couple of us on our snowboarding trip.
The gas stove was lovely and worked well to get us warm and dry our ski boots.
A little rough around the edges, but it has all the charm the listing describes and more!
You'll find some quirks for sure as cabins usually have, but this cabin is right on a sledding hill and its such a fun location - we let our kiddo sled downhill to the restaurants. They're not kidding about those stairs, they're narrow and uneven and theres a section alongside them upstairs that isn't secured by a railing or anything, so if you have a toddler or mobile baby, it's not safe for them. Both my mom and I slipped on the stairs, but not too badly. I'd recommend treating them like stairs on a boat--keep three limbs connected to something and descend backward. They are well stocked with fire safety equipment which was nice to see--a fire escape ladder in each room upstairs and an easily accessible fire extinguisher in the kitchen. They have a ton of kitchen stuff which was great, decent amt of pans and plates and mugs, cooking utensils like a garlic press, peeler, plus a waffle maker!- but no tbsp/tsp measurements and no reasonably sized cutting board. The gas fireplace really warms the place up, so if it's cold when you get there don't even worry about it.
We enjoyed our stay. A generally pleasant cabin with decor from the 1960's. Both bathrooms are on the main floor. Stairs to the 3 bedrooms upstairs were pretty narrow and steep. Fortunately there were safety grab bars along the side of the stairway. This cabin is probably better for younger folks than older folks. Sunday morning check out at 10 a.m. sharp was a negative but the housekeeper kindly gave us some grace time to get packed out.
