Me and my dog had a great stay at the lamplighter. I have a business in Bandon but I live in the rogue valley and I travel over twice a month to stay for a few days. I used to stay at motel 6 in coos bay- but it has been absolutely disgusting lately and smelled like cigarettes and animals. Lamplighter smelled clean and had nice amenities. It has been recently redone. There were some parts of the room not completely updated but all in all they did a nice job and whoever did the cleaning did a nice job as well. I actually felt ok walking around barefoot unlike motel 6! Room had coffee, microwave, mini fridge, hairdryer, comfortable pillows, and everything I needed. Winter prices were somewhat reasonable. I had stayed 2 nights and wanted to add a third night- I searched everywhere to try to get ahold of the owners or managers of the property but it is impossible. I was only able to get ahold of a Vacasa rep on the phone that was hard to understand. When I had originally booked I could have had the room for a third night for the same price as the other nights, but I thought I had some other arrangements for the third night. They fell through, and when I called to book the third night because my room was available when I looked online, Vacasa wanted to charge me double what it had said I could have or rented for if I would have included it in my original booking. So I opted not to stay a third night - I asked the rep if they would honor the same price as my other nights and they could not offer that. Other than that, my stay was great and I will stay again. I have also recommended the lamplighter to others who did not know it had been revamped. Thank you for a peaceful stay!
