Kids will love a trip to Newport's Oregon Coast Aquarium to view barking sea lions, playful penguins, and other coastal creatures, while older tastes are well rewarded with a stop at The Wine Place for a glass of fine Oregon pinot.

Yachats itself might seem small, but there's plenty to do right here in town! Check out the shops for souvenirs then chat with some locals at Green Salmon Cafe. Grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants, or try your hand at fishing or crabbing to nearby catch your own meal. The coastline surrounding Yachats is some of the state's finest for beachcombing and tide pool hunting, and if you're lucky you might see a migrating whale, so don't be afraid to get out and explore the beach - you never know what adventures you'll find!
