Haceta House was clean and welcoming. The grandkids enjoyed the little room at the top of the house with the view of the ocean. The furnishings are interesting and seem to match the house. We really enjoyed our multi-generational stay. Thank you so much!
Adorable House, however, there is no functioning heating system except for space heaters. That might work well for adults only but difficult with young children. The Jacuzzi is amazing, the children’s boat bunkbeds, adorable! However, there was not adequate silverware for a large group and no space in the kitchen area to put your food other than the refrigerator or counters. Beds were comfortable. Also, second bedroom is not fully closed off from the rest of the house. The porch area is really nice and the location to the beach is excellent. It is pet friendly, which worked well for our group, but you will pay a good fee to have them there. If the heating system was addressed and fixed, we would definitely stay there again.
When we showed up, we quickly learned there is another small shed/room that is rented separately on the property. This is nowhere in the description. This takes up the second parking spot, so you really only have 1 parking spot for the house. The hot tub was leaking and very low when we got there. We had to add water every day (do it in the morning so it had time to warm up). We expected it to be a little more updated based on the pictures and price, but it has not been updated. The ocean view is from a little room on the 3rd floor. The bedroom on the second floor is open to the rest of the house through the stairs, there is no door at the stairs. We slept downstairs. It was neat to go up with the kids, but that's the only view of the ocean. The TVs are extremely small. While we didn't go on vacation to watch TV, it is nice to wind down the kids at night. The boat bed was fun for our kids, they did love playing in it. There were some toys which was great. Management definitely isn't keeping up with them as most are missing most of the pieces. The painting on the floor upstairs was really fun, and the decor is really nice. Overall, the owner of the house has done a good job. The management has not. I have never given a review with less than 5 stars, but we were underwhelmed.
1- We never got to stay at this property, but this is further a review on Vacasa. 2- I booked this house and within 10 mins attempted to email customer service to move my reservation by 1 day since I quickly realized I had a conflict. The house was available and should have been cheaper and/or the same expense by moving it a day. Customers service said they would happily move it, but it would cost $168 more dollars, which did not make any sense. I verified on future reservations booked for Sat-Mon would be the same if not less than Fri-Sunday. They assured me there was nothing they could do to avoid the fee. 3 - There was a terrible wind storm that week and once we arrived to check-in there was no power and heat. You could tell it had been hours if not days this house did not have power and no one warned us. The power company pulled up and told us it would be a day if not days before power would be restored. I called customer service and they acted clueless and did not express concern for us checking in. All they said is “I will notify a local team member of your concern and they will get in touch with you”. No ETA. No resolution. We drove three hours to arrive at 5:30 pm and they said they could not assist me, but would let someone else know. The hotel was full also and we had to book another short term rental, which was $200+ more. I was finally contacted by a local Vacasa member at 7:30 am, who never called me, apologized or promptly refunded us. Needless to say, I will never book through Vacasa again and happily went back to another short term rental company who happily supported me.
Very Charming and comfortable beach house . We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace every evening after exploring the coast and beaches. Great town nearby with fantastic restaurants. Dog friendly was also great, especially with gated wrap around deck. We would love to come back.
This home needs to be thoroughly deep cleaned, including furniture, appliances, and kitchens cabinets. Blinds throughout house need replaced. Kitchen sink needs drain covers. There were a lot of knats. Trash can needs to be closable too. Kitchen needs pot holders, trivets, a measure set, and rags/cleaning clothes. The downstairs bed needs replaced. It was uneven and uncomfortable. It should also be mentioned in the listing that it’s not that close to the beach. I wouldn’t consider it ‘easy’ access and the upstairs/master bedroom is open to the stairs and rest of the house. We were very disappointed in this rental. It was overpriced for what were received.
