This place is so great in terms of design and location. I hope they fix the cosmetic functional aspects of this incredibly pretty rental.
Quiet home on a dead end street within a short drive of beaches, fresh seafood restaurants, and shopping. The beds were quite comfortable, the house was very clean, and the bathtub was perfect for kids. We enjoyed the home, but would recommend it for kids aged 8 and up as the stairs are rather steep.
This house is seriously my dream home and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Charming house . Great for families
We loved our stay at the Starfish Cove. However, the listing says there are 4 twin beds in the 3rd bedroom. There are not. There are two. There IS a bed and trundle in the lighthouse tower - as listed! However, we needed those 4 twin beds. My experience reaching out to the host was very poor. I got one message from them before I checked in, but nothing afterwards. When I checked in, there was an alarm going off somewhere in the house (beeped for 1 minute every 5 minutes, very annoying!) and I contacted the host right away about it to no response. I ended up calling Vacasa and they had their local liason come out with air mattresses. We figured out the alarm was the dishwasher - it hadn't finished its cycle and was reminding us about it. Once that was drained, some of the musty odor went away along with the beeping. Other than that, the house is great! We did some cooking enjoyed the sitting room. The big upstairs bathroom is *heavenly* Overall the trip was great and honestly I wish the host would have talked to me by now.
The house was beautiful. The area felt safe. We had some issues with cleanliness. The sofa, some of the beds and area rugs were not clean. Other parts of the house felt very clean. The back patio was large, but the chairs out there were stacked up off to the side and were pretty yucky. We sat on the ground. And the camera pointing right at us from across the backyard felt very intrusive. My aunt was also visiting the area, but we were not allowed to have her come visit with us at the house. That was very disappointing. I loved the charm of the home as well as the location. I just wish it would have been better tended to.
