Newly Remodeled Ocean View Retreat, Balcony and BBQ

A wind storm occurred during our stay. The hot tub lid appeared to have been broken prior to our stay as the straps did not buckle down and the lid had duct tape inside of it to fix a tear. We reported the large amount of water that came into the house during the storm and that accumulated on the hot tub lid. 11 different representatives from Vacasa said that they were contacting the local management team, but we never heard back from the local management team. No one came to fix the hot tub so we did not get to use it, we are very disappointed about this. This was the main reason we chose this home. Even after we reported there was damage to the hot tub lid and water leaking into the home. We are very disappointed with the lack of physical and verbal support from Vacasa. The house needs to be dusted badly, a few of the blinds are broken and do not turn to open or close, there are blinds needed in the upstairs bedroom on the windows, most of the windows were left unlocked so I went through the hiuse securing the windows the first night we were there. There is obvious water damage on the windows and frame of the sliding glass door yet the windows have not been replaced and we were not warned that a storm would bring a large amount of water through the closed and locked windows. So we spent our last two nights there washing soaked towels and cleaning up water to prevent further damage to the home. There is no where to hang cloths and the dresser is filled with pillows and blankets, so you need to pull everything out to use the dresser, this means a large pile of blankets and pillows on the floor causing tripping hazards. I would recommend something for people to hang clothing. The right corner of the bed frame needs a bumper. It was covered with the comforter and I hit my knee twice which left a bruise. We have stayed in many homes 2 Vacasa and the rest Airbnb. Both times i have been disappointed with the lack of communication and follow through from Vacasa. With all that said it is a beautiful home and has a beautiful view of the beach and Ocean.

We stayed in late August. It was exactly what we were looking for.. beautiful views, excellent local restaurants, comfortable and cozy for three.

Location is amazing! Just steps from Battle Rock Beach and delightful walk up windows for locally sourced seafood. View is amazing! But in addition to that this place is an updated, clean, comfortable beach cabin. We would stay there again

The place had a gorgeous view. House was nothing special but did the job.

What a sweet gem. Had everything we needed. The view was wonderful! The community was delightful. Loved exploring Port Orford and surrounding area.
