The Airplane Hangar

There were many things we liked about our stay at the “Airplane Hangar” and a few things that were negatives for us. The complex is very nice and well maintained. It has a great pool and well-equipped gym. The condo was very well supplied. The patio was a good size with comfortable chairs and lounges. There is a significant amount of noise from the planes flying in and out of Sky Harbor. There are no shades the windows in the dining and living room, which would be nice to allow privacy in the evenings. The location of the parking spot is right next to the elevator and very convenient; however, the owner’s car in the second spot is very large, making it tricky to park a large SUV, fitting it between the large pillar and the owner’s car. We vacuumed several times. The carpeting should be cleaned or replaced. Working though VACASA also had its positives and negatives. Initially, our small requests were handled well. All communication was via text with the VACASA representative, who was always very pleasant. The windows were dirty and and she had someone clean them. When the microwave stopped working it took over a week for it to be replaced, apparently due to poor communication between the owner and VACASA. Ultimately, a replacement was left outside our door. I also, had a frustrating and expensive interaction with a few months before our stay, ultimately costing us an additional $3000. We will avoid properties managed by VACASA in the future.

Easy access to gym, pool, and trail. Lots of space!

The view and the condo. I disliked arriving and finding that it had not been cleaned. It was filthy with dirty bedding, filthy toilet, unclean floors, leaking faucets in master bathroom requiring water to be shut off for one basin due to leakage that went under the basin, and having to keep a towel around 2nd basin faucets due to leakage.

This was nice. Comfortable furniture and the beds were good. We had a few complaints which I left a list of at the condo. But I would recommend renting it.

Super comfortable, great equipment and furniture; even with stocked pantry and games! Convenient parking location, only regret the grill did not have propane (but could use the grills available in the pool area).
