The house was exceptionally clean. We loved the privacy, the desert and the mountain views. Even with the foothills location we found it close enough to everything we wanted to do while visiting Tucson. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

We spent 10 days in Tucson in April as a family of 4 and this home was the perfect place for us to stay! Plenty of space, excellent full-use kitchen, and the view outside was amazing. I got comments on a work call that it looked like a fake background, it was that picturesque! The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water even if everyone showered in a row. TV and internet worked super fast. We loved the sunrise and sunset views. Location was perfect for my birding husband to get to lots of great birding spots in the area, and my teen and I made it out to some fun shopping locations. Very close to the University of Arizona by car, and I enjoyed several art museums in the area. Overall, I would recommend the home to anyone looking for somewhere beautiful and unique to stay and spread out comfortably in the area. We even successfully ordered Instacart to the house our first day (although directions were tough!) - GPS takes you around the wrong way based on the address, but once you know how to get there, it’s easy to keep returning. A little patience in Tucson goes a long way! Washing machine and dryer worked great, and the starter set of TP and paper towels was helpful! Plenty of dishes and silverware to host a large gathering if you wanted. Stove (electric) worked fast. Didn’t try the oven. Having a Brita in the fridge was a nice touch. And I know I said this before but my husband is still talking about how comfortable the bed was! The huge long desk in the bedroom was also a great bonus! I loved sitting on the patio enjoying the late afternoon sun.

Sunrock on 8 Acres is a beautiful property. Off the beaten pathing private with a gorgeous view overlooking the city. With comfortable beds, great water pressure, tons of natural light and the amenities to cook/grill on site if needed. It has vintage charm and I’d highly recommend it for your next stay in Tucson.

For the most part we enjoyed our 2-week stay at 2850 Sunrock Lane. The neighborhood offers privacy and relief from city traffic while still having easy access to Tucson. There are several desert hiking areas within a 10-minute drive; Old Tucson and the superb Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are less than 20 minutes away. A pleasant patio looks out onto a “backyard” of natural desert vegetation and occasional wildlife. The scenic views from the home, especially of the Catalina Mountains to the northeast, are beautiful! However, viewing from inside the home is marred by dingy windows. The home heating system and available appliances are adequate except for the electric oven, which did not work. (The cooktop is fine.) The toaster and coffeemaker are exceptionally good. The bed and pillows in the master bedroom are comfortable. The home has a couple of annoying quirks. Frequent structural noises (daily expansion and contraction?) were infrequently loud enough to wake us at night. (These were not sounds coming from the HVAC system, which were not bothersome at all.) Also, adult males will find the water level in the toilet to be annoyingly high.
