Great location near Joshua Tree with amazing star gazing at night. The hospitality was wonderful—very welcoming and responsive. The place was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and everything felt well cared for. Would definitely stay again!!
We had a wonderful stay here! The location is excellent for visiting Joshua Tree National Park, and it’s close to supermarkets and food places if you need anything. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen where we cooked most of our meals. We also enjoyed many board games during our downtime, and the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends!
This property was located conveniently close to the Joshua Tree national park and away from light and street noise to offer a great desert retreat. A well equipped kitchen, spotless bathrooms, quality bedding, board games, well functioning wifi and nest controlled thermostat made it feel like home away from home. We had unobstructed views to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. The generous lot away from light pollution made a perfect private setting to stargaze and catch meteor showers. Will definitely come back again!
Everything
This rental was a mere 10 minutes from the Joshua Tree National Visitor Center on Adobe Rd. When we arrived, we were grateful that the house was warm and the lights were on. There are no street lights on the unpaved roads leading to the house, so seeing the houselights helped us find our way! The lack of streetlights is most definitely not a negative -- the stars are more visible at night because of this! The home was pretty clean (except for a bum roll of toilet paper which had probably gotten wet and had some resultant mildew) and included most kitchen basics (did not have measuring spoons); there were knives, some pots and pans, flatware, towels, a brand new sponge, a functional coffeemaker, and a toaster oven. We didn't try the microwave, but a previous review said it didn't work. There were also a few food basics like salt but we had to go to Stater grocery store for sugar for our morning coffee. We are so dependent on internet, so I have to state that it is included, but speeds are pretty slow. Still, we appreciated being able to check email, directions, trail info, etc. There is also a fireplace, but looks like you need to buy your own wood. I loved that there were games and puzzles available on the bookshelf as well. Overall, it was not "perfect," but it was a decent value for a 3BR home close to Joshua Tree. The space was definitely sufficient for our family of 5!
