Recently updated, this luxurious, resort-styled home offers unobstructed lake views and generous indoor and outdoor living space for your entire family to enjoy. Inside this comfortable getaway, you'll find a newly remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, stainless steel gas cooktop, and a large island that's sure to inspire the chef in your group, plus a cozy living area with a smart flatscreen TV and a gas fireplace to set the mood with additional smart flatscreen TVs in the bedrooms as well. Santo Tomas is a private, gated community built around a stunning nine-acre lake within a short drive of the airport, numerous restaurants, golf courses, El Paseo, the River, the Living Desert, casinos, hiking, and biking. Spend the day on Mt. San Jacinto via the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (just 15 miles away) where you will ascend to over 8,000 feet to experience breathtaking views of the Coachella Valley. For the more adventurous, head to Indian Canyons hiking trails (11 miles from your door) for a hike through the desert and to discover some spectacular waterfalls.

While the house is spacious, with a lovely backyard, there are many issues in respect of maintenance and preparation for a luxury rental. One of the main issues is that the king-size mattress in the master bedroom is lumpy and uncomfortable. Many of the cupboards had old used items stashed away - things like a few pairs of disposable chop sticks that came with Chinese takeout, or a stack of old soap dishes complete with half used bars of soap. This was typical of many of the cupboards, almost all of which were full of randomly mismatched or partially used items. An example: about a half dozen sets of various glasses and mugs. Many of the surfaces were covered with plastic or ceramic plants. No extras like guest robes. Some of the outdoor furniture was soaking wet and torn. Even though we paid for weekly cleaning by the Vacasa cleaners, the house was never as clean as it should have been. The setting and layout of the house are terrific and the backyard is spectacular but the house needs to be cleaned out and professionally prepared for rental as a luxury residence, up to the standard of a good hotel. And Vacasa needs to better supervise its cleaners. Sorry to be critical.

This is an all-around fabulous home - from the inside to the backyard, to the quiet neighborhood, to the view of the lake over the infinity pool! The home was immaculate, equipped with everything we needed and more. The spacious backyard with multiple comfortable lounging options was a huge plus as well. The owner was exceptionally helpful with anything we needed.
