Meadow Creek House

We had a great stay over New Year's at this cabin. The kitchen was really nice and super well stocked with everything you need for cooking plus they had cooking oil, salt and pepper, foil and saran wrap which is not always a given when renting a cabin but super handy when available. The fireplace was wonderful and there was a nice large stack of cut wood just outside our back door to use while we were there. The heat worked well to keep the cabin warm and the layout of the cabin was nice. With a second family room downstairs we were able to use it for the video game play area for us when the Bowl games were on upstairs. There was a creek running in the backyard after the rain came down hard and we enjoyed exploring it together with our dog. The first afternoon we arrived, we looked out back and there were 3 beautiful deer standing there grazing in the backyard and they stayed there even after we went out on the back deck. Really cool! The cabin is out in the forest but still close to town so the best of both worlds. It was decorated for Christmas which was such a nice touch and also they had thoughtful touches for our dog as well including a nice soft linen for him to lay on which he thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely come back!

Loved all the amenities & comfort of the house.

We had a great time, lovely rental. AC was good, fast wifi, fireplace in working order, kitchen well stocked for cooking basics. Thankful for another reviewer mentioning that coffee was Keurig so we knew to bring a french press to make coffee we brought.

Decent three bed home close to downtown and the trails. Had toys for younger kids ages toddlers to say 07-08 and wifi and some of the internet web streaming services already there. Decent book collection too in the kitchen. Just make sure when you book that you confirm there will not be any active construction. When we went with our 4 yr old and 22 month old they were actively replacing the roof and as such couldn't use the drive way to the right (if looking at the main photo straight on) as the roofers equipment and ladders on the house were there including debris around the house and the outdoor patio like nails, tar shingle cutters, rusty long staples and other equipment that pose a safety risk to the kids and out dog. There was enough that we couldn't really use the patio as we didn't want to risk having one of our kids accidently stick themselves with something sharp then needing to go to the hospital for a TDap.

My children 5 & 13 enjoyed it. Will definitely return for more days. Had everything we needed. Close to a trail & village.
