Golden Marigold Sanctuary

Stayed at this property with my mother-in-law, husband, and our 2.5-year-old son. The location is great and the home itself is nice, but several issues kept this from being the experience we expected. Upon arrival, the house was not as clean as we would have liked. We found a water bottle under the master bed that was not ours, hair in the bathtub, and a visible ring around the tub. Lots of dust and grime under couches, beds and at baseboards. Traveling with a toddler, cleanliness is especially important to us. There were multiple maintenance issues during our stay. The kitchen faucet was leaking, several kitchen lights were out, and the blinds on the patio door were broken and did not work. The outdoor fire table also did not function, and there was very limited outdoor lighting—only one light by the door—which made it difficult to comfortably eat or spend time outside in the evenings. Additionally, it was not disclosed in the listing that the pool could not be heated at all, which would have been important information for us when booking. We reported these issues to VRBO right away. Over the course of three to four days, we were repeatedly told someone would be coming out and that we’d be notified when they were on their way. Unfortunately, no one ever came, and the issues were never resolved during our stay. Overall, the property has a lot of potential and is in a good location, but the cleanliness concerns, lack of supplies, undisclosed pool limitations, and unresolved maintenance issues made the stay less enjoyable than expected. Future guests may want to clarify these details in advance. Walking distance to a nice park and close to amenities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We felt welcome and the host was kind and helpful. Our favorite part was the hot tub.
