The location is great, and we loved the fire pit and picnic tables. We cooked most of our meals in the cabin, but a short drive to town for dinner was really easy. The cabin is a real cabin, so don't expect the Ritz. But it is very clean and very comfortable! Washer & Dryer saved our family from over packing. We had a blast!
This cabin was in the perfect location. So quiet and calm. It’s such a kid friendly house. My family absolutely loved it! 100% will be booking again!
The description when booking did not live up to what we experienced. It was suppose to have 3 queen beds, one in each room. However, the bedroom nearest the kitchen was a full size bed not queen. Hot water was an issue. Everyone took short showers but the 2nd person ends up with cold water so we had to wait for the hot water to be replenished in order for the rest of the family to shower. Kitchen appliances have been upgraded but the pots and pans, utensils and kitchen ware were very old and cheap. I scrubbed the frying pans to see if they would get better but it did not change anything. The Teflon was not in good condition and should not be used at all for health reasons. Carpet looked to be original from the 1960's. We do not mind old but this was beyond and felt dirty. Also, the room next to kitchen looked or seemed to be an add on and when door was closed, the wall was not completely sealed and light can still get in. The electrical switch wasn't completely enclosed properly and would not be considered to be in code! The location was great but unfortunately would not stay here again.
The Cabin was exactly what we were looking for which was an old school feeling, with some modern amenities. It was tastefully decorated and the surprises for the kids (games and toys), were exciting for them during our downtime at home between outings. We made good use of the Fire Pit and the boys had fun chopping some extra wood. We had a wonderful visit and were very happy overall with the proximity of the cabin to most everywhere we went. (North Beach, Rowland’s Ponds).
