Home was a quiet and cozy getaway. Amenities were a little lacking in some regard (no dish towels & other kitchen supplies) but overall very nice stay!
We enjoyed having our morning coffee in the loft. The cabin is old but has lots of character and charm. Main bed was comfy. Sheets, towels looked clean and smelled clean.
The place was great, was worried at first because of other reviews but place was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. I will be staying here again in the future. Ignore negative reviews as they have either corrected the issues or reviews were incorrect. Thank you for a fair priced place to get away.
First I will say the property management team (both local and vacasa) had great communication with us and offered to reimburse some expenses (as of writing this I have not seen it yet but trust they will). Okay, now the house. The property location is wonderful! Very secluded for those wanting to be away from people but still have internet to connect with loved ones (for us our kids). Now for the the so great...The place was filthy! I know it is pet friendly but it seemed like an animal had just rolled around upstairs and walked up. Both beds downstairs had dust/dirt and hair on them (even the sheets). One of the bedspreads even had what looked like red jam on it. The counters were sticky. The fridge was sticky and even the table was. The bathroom towels looked dirty with specs of dirt on them. We had arrived later in the day so contact was not an immediate response. I found the cleaning supplies and started cleaning the entire downstairs. Stripped the bedding and threw the towels in a corner. I did request new bedding and towels to be brought, again cuz of the time (after 9pm) we just decided to head in town to the Family Dollar and buy new bedding and towels since this property doww not have a washer/dryer. (They have offered to reimburse as previously stated). We also bought a blanket to go over the large chair upstairs to enjoy the view from there. Moe to the outside. Unfortunately the fireplace was not cleared at all and with an active wildfire already going on that side of the lake we were uncomfortable even attempting the have a campfire. All in all the bones and feeling on the property are there. It needs a lot of TLC outside and a very deep clean inside (and constant upkeep to manage). We hope to return to this property after those things are done. So if you are considering this property and dont mind cleaning things yourself (hoping this gets addressed asap) then go for it. After everything was said and done we really enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere that this property has.
This is a wonderful cabin tucked back in the woods near Cascade Lake. It's on the other side of the lake from town, so it's pretty secluded but that's part of what I enjoyed. I'd recommend bringing your own food supplies because it is a bit of drive into town. It's very well stocked, and perfect for sitting out on the patio to watch the sunrise and to enjoy meals. When we got there at 4:00, it still hadn't been cleaned. I called Vacasa, and within 10 minutes someone was there to clean. They were quite apologetic and explained that they had gotten behind due to an expected large party staying at another cabin. Mistakes happen, and I was quite happy with how it was handled and resolved. We are already planning on staying there again next year!
