This is a beautiful cabin in the heart of the woods with a view of the lake.

My husband and I were looking for a remote, snowy, cozy location to get away and celebrate our 25th anniversary and this cabin delivered. First it was huge and we could’ve fit our whole family of 6 plus friends. It was very remote, very quiet, gorgeous views, easy to find, easy to check in and out. The kitchen was well stocked with every pan and utensil you could need. The living room furniture was so comfortable and we loved reading by the fireplace. Lots of towels and bedding, and both of us remarked on the dove soap because it is our favorite. We had happy hour out on the deck with the gorgeous views of the lake and mountain range. Honestly might be my favorite air bnb ever. Thank you!

The Cabin was great, it was an authentic log cabin. The views were amazing in all directions, very quiet, it was a great getaway.

So the place was awesome, but as many mentioned before, this is up on the side of a mountain on a long, slow going dirt road. Be prepared for that. Reason for our low review, we had our dog and child with us on this stay and we discovered the hard way that the managers of this property have mouse poison stashed throughout the inside of the house. 6 hours, a 3 hour drive to town and a $500 vet bill later everything was thankfully OK but at first contact the local management could not be honest with us about the poison in the house. We sent them pics of the 5 locations we found and the 2 bags of poison cubes from the laundry room and then they went radio silent. Since then the only comm has been texts from the generic Vacasa service team. Our dog could have very well died or worse a small child could have stumbled on the bright green poison cubes and swallowed them. Pretty disappointing what we were put through and the lack of concern or communications from Vacasa and the local management team / owners. I would certainly never stay here or in this area again knowing the lack of concern / care for renters and the questionable activity by local mangement. We werevery fortunate that we caught our dog immediately after she ingested the poison but had this been in the middle of the night and we didnt catch it, we might be making our drive back to TX with one less family member. Vacasa said they would cover our vet bill by refunding the credit card we used to pay the pet deposit but now we're having to fight with them about that. It's not shown up yet and they keep giving us generic answers on when it will show up. We have everything in writing and will continue our fight, but do yourself a favor, find a different property a few hours away. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

View of the lake was great! Deer sightings down the hill was fun to see. One was bedded down 30 yards down the hill. Lots of space with lots of beds. One major thing that could be improved upon is to have a king bed. Plenty of room for one. Would appeal to more people that way. Overall, we loved the cabin. Big beautiful logs. It would gave been nice to have an information binder for cabin instructions ( such as where is outside garbage cart in winter, informed by staff when we asked) , things to do, etc. Walking across ice to front door was concerning. Front steps buried in 5 feet of snow from sliding off roof, uderstandable. Lots of extra blankets and pillows, well stocked kitchen, nice deck, nice fire pit area. I liked that there was a fire extinguisher mounted to tree next to it. Pool table was fun. Time for new pool cues or bring your own. Table itself in good shape. Very nice stay for our first visit to this cabin. Friendly prompt response from staff.
