Unique waterfront home with wraparound deck and private grill - free WiFi

We have stayed at the dome home once before and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. The unique design, direct access to the beach, and private area is exactly what my family looks for in a vacation home. We booked the dome home again in the spring for the middle of August. After receiving a confirmation email at 5:00 the evening before we were scheduled to leave for the dome home confirming our reservation, we received a follow up email at 10:30 that night explaining our dome home reservation had been cancelled due to a “soft spot” in the floor. This email was sent just hours before we left. The host provided four different houses being “held” if we wanted to choose one of those. Two of the houses were townhouses, one only sleeping 6 when the dome home sleeps 10. We did not feel as if these house options were remotely comparable to features of the dome home. With having such a small amount of time to make a decision, we felt our hands were forced in to choosing one of the four options. We ultimately chose a house that was big enough to hold our family. This was not beach front and we had a decent walk to the beach. When we got to the beach, there were huge wood pieces sticking up from the sand in the water. This posed as a hazard and danger making the beach inaccessible. We had to walk further down the beach to avoid these ragged wood pieces having to cross over more dangerous terrain of rocks and concrete that had washed out from one of the houses. This path continued to worsen all week. We understand that emergencies happen and are often out of control, however, we don’t believe we were offered a comparable property. At the very least, credit should have been added to be able to use the dome home at a later time or a full refund should have been given. Handling inconveniences in an emergency situations are crucial for a hostess to handle appropriate

The house is unique and has plenty of room for guests. The rooms are nice sizes and beds were very comfortable. We loved the walk around deck to view sunrises and gorgeous sunsets but there is no useable beach area as in the pictures. It is filled with tree stumps and debris.

It's worth knowing that the beach has tree stumps growing from the sand right in front of the house and to the south of it. There is plenty of other beach areas around, just don't expect the pictures provided to be exactly the view you'll get. Hurricane Michael, and several smaller storms since has changed the beach front a bit. With that said, it is an amazing home and perfect for someone wanting to walk out of the door, down the steps, and into the water. You also get amazing views from the porch because you're so close to the water. I would definitely visit this home again.

beautiful views. Had A/C issues at first but was fixed promptly and immediately! Very professional and easy to work with!

We enjoyed our stay at the Dome House. IT is not the fanciest house but it serves our needs. Loved waking up to having coffee other deck looking for dolphins, watching the Osprey, the shore birds and the sand crabs. Thank you having us and we will be back.

This is the second time I've stayed here and it didn't disappoint. The privacy, the view, the home itself is all perfect. Wonderful!
