We requested a 8 beds home...after booking booked home, we noticed it was two houses. The property was advertised as 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 4700 plus square feet
Homes were great, beach was close and beautiful. House had lots of great extras for fun. We will be back. They kept in touch to make sure all was good.
The homes (Seaside Siesta & Seaside Sabbatical) are beautiful, with phenomenal extra appointments such as beach and pool equipment available for guest use. The beds are comfortable, the community pool is fantastic, and the beach is very nice. This really is an excellent property, and the owners obviously take great pride in their decor and guest comfort. Our Vacasa experience, on the other hand, was nightmarish. Our reservation included both homes, both were cleaned and prepared, but somehow only one was "provisioned" for occupancy. We were greeted in one home by working codes and such, but the other home did not open. Hours on the phone and text chat with agents with very poor communication skills led to no results. It took Vacasa over three hours of half of my family waiting out in the Florida heat before they finally sent someone out to the home to figure things out. It turns out that the home was never included under the reservation (although paid for), so we had to be issued a "temporary code" for the second home. This code would stop working twice during our stay and required more hours-long conversations with Vacasa to try to get a new code issued. Additionally, one bunk bed room mattresses was missing, leaving one of our kids to not have a place to sleep. We found the missing mattress, soaked in urine, stuffed into the garage. Finally, during our stay, the fire systems were scheduled to be checked. Not only did this precipitate one of the resets of the second home's access codes, but the people that checked the fire alarms left one of the homes in test mode. This caused the fire alarm system to randomly sound multiple times randomly during the night, causing a very sleepless night. We finally figured out how to get it to exit this test mode the next morning, but it made for one very terrible night's sleep. Overall my family loved this property, and would love to visit again. However, the poor Vacasa management of the property would make me wait until it was managed by someone else before returning.
Really was a skeptical when I saw 2 houses rented together But these houses definitely accommodate a big family so this was a great idea 2 houses side by side. Love it
