My first visit to Matador but not first visit to Okaloosa Island (in Ft Walton). This island is a quiet, calm place to visit the gulf. Gorgeous white sand and clear water. The room is updated when new appliances and a comfortable bed. The patio overlooks the bay and is especially beautiful at night. The pool is gorgeous and overlooks the ocean. There's a heated pool close to the unit also. Absolutely loved it!

We had a great time during our stay! The location was perfect — close to the beach, which was beautiful and not overly crowded, and the pools were peaceful and well-maintained. There were a few maintenance issues we noticed during our visit: the sinks and bathtub tended to clog, and the blinds in the king bedroom were broken and tended to fall off. We also had some trouble getting the TV remotes to work properly. Lastly, while not a major issue, we think adding a curtain in the bedroom with the two beds would help with light control at night. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and just wanted to share these notes for future guests!
