Gorgeous condo with lagoon pool, hot tub, beach access & pickleball court

We have stayed in several units at High Pointe over the past years. We normally stay in the East or West buildings that are oceanfront. However, on this trip just two weeks before we were supposed to arrive we were moved Unit 235 due to outside deck work being done on the unit we originally booked. This unit has a very nice view of the Gulf and the pool and overall it was clean. However, it needs major updating in the bathrooms and kitchen and the WiFi/ internet connections were down completely for 6 of our 7 day stay. Therefore, this trip wasn’t the best. Kristin in the local Vacasa office was available to try to help with the issues, but the issues were many and couldn’t be solved while we were there.

We love this area! This particular condo is in need of updating. From the cabinets to the beds. Beds are very uncomfortable and the cabinets being old and very loud when closing. The jet tub was filthy. The staff did come and clean it after I called. We will be back to the property but not to this condo.

Master shower was wet upon arrival. Hallway inside stinks like backed up sewer. Bunk beds has dirty yellow sheets and smell musty. No additional sheets or blankets to exchange what is currently on there. Master bed you can see the box springs under mattress, which should have twin fitted sheets on them or bed skirt for better protection and visibility. Master bedroom TV is useless. Very slow and not easy to use. No bathroom rugs or towels to put on the floors. Anyone can slip and fall getting out. Towels in bathroom had stains and do not smell clean. No soap dish for the bar soap provided in bathrooms. Laundry room and a hamper on the top shelf with beach towel filled with sand and two white washcloths that were yellow and not washed. For the price of this unit definitely expected more. Picked this resort for the amenities, pool view, and beach access but would not ever stay in this particular unit again. The security guard by the pool and entrance to restaurant definitely takes her job seriously by yelling at people by the pool for having drinks even if bought at the restaurant. So many other guests couldn’t stop talking about how she acted. She yells to have wristbands on at all times even though they are very large and I was holding them in my hand for my teen kids every time we walked by her. When we left the property to walk in the village, she was at the guard area, half of us had the bands on and she still yelled at us to have them all on while walking off the property. The wristbands are $100 each if lost so I had the kids bands in my purse. I don’t know how many times I told her and she knew who we were the 4 days we were there. I’ve stayed at other condos in the same area for less money that has had simple extras to have a more home feeling.

We love this location. Walking distance to several places to eat and hang out. Great pool, beautiful beach and High Pointe property is always well kept and secure.
