Charming gulf-front 2nd floor condo in South Walton Outdoor showers on-site

Sadly I looked past the other bad reviews and took a chance. I was also late to book and this was one of only a few properties available so I should’ve known. This place is extremely Outdated, poor WiFi that wouldn’t reach the bedroom, floor is tore up? Balcony furniture is rusted badly. No beach chair service. Bed is terribly uncomfortable and forces both people to the center of the bed. It feels like they are just sucking up all the profits and not putting anything back into the property. Kinda sad. Positives - good location and clean

We love Eastern Shores and stay at this complex frequently, but will NEVER stay in this unit again. The owners of this unit seem to be older and out of touch. The cellular service is known to be so spotty along 30A, so functioning WiFi is absolutely necessary in a vacation rental, and this unit does not have it. Fear of being unable to contact someone in case of an emergency was a concern of ours- landlines are a thing of the past! No cellular signal can be fixed with WiFi calling, but the signal was too weak to be used at all! A WiFi signal booster costs no more than $30.00 at Target, one needs to be purchased and installed before the next guests arrive. There was no cable in the primary bedroom as advertised. When we contacted Vacasa, they brought us a Roku tv that was unusable due to the WiFi not working. Our guest sleeping in the primary bedroom was unable to sleep with no TV. Not a big deal for some, but we ensured there was a TV in this bedroom when we booked the unit for that reason. If you’re able to overlook not being able to even use your phone to make an emergency phonecall if needed, this unit was otherwise clean and comfortable. The only other complaint we had about the unit itself was the dryer in the unit took 2 hours to dry 2 towels. Contacting Vacasa about anything was also a nightmare. Despite there being a local office just down the road, you are forced to speak with or text with someone at a call center in India anytime you call. They stated it was against company policy to allow us to speak with a local employee. There was a chain of command where we had to speak with the call center- people who have never even stepped foot in the area. For this reason, we will not rent with Vacasa again, and will stick with a local rental company.

This unit needs a complete update, furniture was uncomfortable and old and needs to be replaced. The bed was very uncomfortable and old. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, VACASA You have previous comments and you represent the homeowners and not made them have a presentable unit of an enjoyable and comfortable vacation you’re taking people’s money.

The condo is in a great location. To have beach front access is excellent!! The condo needs some updating. The place would be incredible if given a little love. We heard the same thing about several of the other places in the same building. Just need a real deep cleaning and refreshing. We encountered a new ant problem while we were there and vacasa sent somebody in but I had already gone to the store for bug spray a I was even contacted back.

my second time staying in the eastern shores and will definitely come back in tje future!
