Commodore's Retreat 404

This condo is spacious and well laid out. The views and deck, with all types of seating, are amazing! The location is quiet, right on the water and easy access to the beach. It feels like a familie’s well loved getaway minus personal touches like paper and pens, spices, beach toys or folding chairs. The basic cleaning was great but we came at the end of the season and noticed it could probably use a deep under the furniture, in the corners spring clean. The bathrooms are recently updated beautifully and they are well lit. The kitchen needs an update. It is dated, and sparsely supplied with old tools, dishes and pots and pans. It’s lacking basic items like a TBL measuring spoon, cookie sheet, 9 x13 baking dish, any kind of a spatula, tea kettle… For people that don’t really like to cook on vacation, this may not matter. If you are someone that loves to cook, so that you don’t have to leave the gorgeous beach and patio so often, this may not be the kitchen for you. Our biggest concern and huge disappointment was the swimming pool. There was unclear communication as to whether it was up and running between the listing on VRBO and the management company. We called to ask management company and they assured us that it was up and running. When we got there we found that it was very damaged and dirty. We been coming to 30A for six years and have always enjoyed the use of a swimming pool. I would encourage the owners to find a different type of window covering for the second bedroom as the light from the walkway outside was so bright coming in that we couldn’t use the room. We would love to come back when the kitchen is updated and the pool is addressed because the location is so amazing.

Unit was clean, great location, unbelievable views.

We were surprised to find this end innit on the top floor had such good light from skylights and side windows, besides the usual sliding doors. The balcony was large with lots of chairs and room to eat outdoors. The beach was not at all crowded. The loft with a second living area and 3rd bedroom came in handy.

This was our second stay at Commodore's Retreat 404 and we love it! It's a beautiful, bright and lovely condominium in the perfect location. We couldn't imagine a better place to stay and are already planning our next trip!

We have rented this unit twice now, the location is perfect and the view of the ocean is stunning. The upper deck has an uninterrupted view the white sand & ocean! It is very spacious, clean, comfortable beds and the loft area allowed a place for our kids to retreat. Highly recommend!

We love the Commodores Retreat building and have stayed several times over the years. Great location, gorgeous views. Plus it has an elevator and pool unlike many other condos in Eastern Lake Rd This was the first time staying in this unit. The space, view and furnishings/decor get 5 starts but the cleanliness and maintenance knock it down to only 3. I always give surfaces a wipe down when first arriving I’ve seen cleaner but I’ve seen dirtier. The kitchen faucet was also broken- the water pressure was just above a drip. Vacasa had 2 different maintenance people come out to fix but of course nobody ever had parts with them so I instead of them interrupting our vacation for the third day I asked them to repair after we left. I also asked them for a partial refund $100 would have been nice since we didn’t have a full functioning kitchen but never received. I only hope they get it fixed for whoever comes after us!
