Gorgeous coastal home with shared pool, beach access and golf

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this condo. We visit Sandestin every summer, and this is by far the worst experience we’ve had. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The “clean” towels had hair all over them, there was hair in the showers, food wrappers and burned incense sticks were left under the bunk beds, and the floors were so filthy that my children’s feet were literally black after walking around barefoot. We ended up buying a Swiffer just so we could mop the floors ourselves because they were that dirty. There were also several maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived. The golf cart seat was broken, and the golf cart itself was extremely difficult to steer, especially when making right turns. One bathtub had a broken drain stopper, the sunroom ceiling fans either wouldn’t turn on or made such awful noises that they couldn’t be used, and the internet never worked during our entire stay. I reached out to the management company for help with the internet and never received a response. The listing is also misleading in a few ways. It advertises parking for two vehicles, but there is realistically only enough room for one, which made parking a headache. The air conditioning was another major issue. Even with the thermostat set to 69–70 degrees, the house stayed between 76–78 degrees throughout the day and was uncomfortably hot. It only cooled down during the early morning hours. The most frustrating part is that the home itself has so much potential. The photos are beautiful, and with proper cleaning and routine maintenance, it could be a wonderful place to stay. I understand that management companies have many properties to oversee, but the condition of this home was simply unacceptable. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

We loved this home! It had plenty of room for everyone. The location is great! The home is nicely decorated with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!

The location was very nice. Close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The pool was also very nice and had a covered area to sit under for quick bouts of rain. The actual home was just ok. There was mold in the upstairs closet and bathroom. Also the golf cart never worked our entire stay. We did get refunded but it would’ve been nice to have it. Overall I would not stay here again.

Clean, modern furniture

This is in a great location and could potentially be a good rental, but one of the reasons we rented was so that we would have a golf cart and when we went to use the golf cart, the seat was literally unattached and we could not use it. We also were very cold in the unit because the temperatures were low while we were there and asked for extra blankets and were told that all units get the same amount of blankets and we just had to deal with it. I don’t know as if I would rent this unit again or if I would rent from Vacasa again
