Spacious beach condo with shared resort pool, hot tub, gym, tennis & sauna

Need to be remodeled

We were very disappointed paying 500/night and walking into the condo. Very small unit with no dishwasher or oven. The unit had big hole in the wall , tile under sink falling off, ceiling tile has holes and mold on it. It was still full of sand all over the floors. Knobs are missing off doors and walls are full of scuffs, hasn’t been painted or updated in a while. The balcony had an active wasp/hornets nest. We stayed 3 nights last night the a/c stopped working and it was 75 degrees. The chute to throw away trash stunk so bad and was so dirty. Front desk Never informed us of where anything was on the property, such as ice, or that the condo came with 4 beach chairs and umbrella. It was the kind Maintenance man who actually told us about that.

I didn't love anything about surfside resort. I reserved and paid for a 3 bedroom for my family of 7. After driving 8 hours, Heather from surfside resort called me 2 hours upon my arrival and told me they only have a 2 bedroom for me. The manager would not speak to me or call me back. Because of this I was seperated from my family and had to pay extra money to find somewhere else to stay. The room that was reserved for me (L8/L8A) had a musty smell and with roaches. The front desk had to call pest control to treat my rooms. This left dead roaches everywhere and an overwhelming pesticide smell. The overall facility is old, outdated and had a musty smell, the hallway carpet is dingy and stained. What a disappointment!! I will never stay here again.

Great double room for my family of 3. The beds were comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for snacks. We had a great stay and would stay again.
