Spacious, beachfront home with shared outdoor pool, hot tub, & beach access

We loved the two stories and space. The view is nice, it is a side condo so you don't have a full view of the ocean (for sunrise or sunset), but it is still a great view. It is probably the best stocked kitchen we have been in! Location is nice, it is not as busy of an area as being right in Destin. Furnishings are nice and the beds are comfortable. The cons are the washer & dryer (very, very loud, and the dryer does not dry well), not knowing the tennis courts were closed, and the random loud banging noises every night (not from neighbors, no idea what it was but it woke all of us up every night). One other thing to know is that all three bathrooms are with a bedroom, so there is not a bathroom in a general space, which bothered some of us, and not others. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Room was great. Best stocked kitchen I have seen. Extra fans available for those who need them at night. Liked the resort. Only drawback that will keep me from coming back is the beach service. We only received one set up (2 chairs/ 1 umbrella) for a three bedroom so had to purchase another for the other couple staying with us. We also had friends staying in their own room. At the beach it is first come as far as getting chairs but then you find out you can’t choose any in the front roll because those are for owners. Then after spending $300 for a set for the week they never have them out waiting for you together with your party. So every day even though we would get out there early we had to sit on our towels until 9:00 when they set up all the chairs and then wait for name tags to be placed on the owners’ set up and a few “reserved” sets before you are allowed to fight over the last few left. Then you have to track down the one guy working to ask for the one you already purchased to be set up beside you. He would get caught up talking with other people that were upset they didn’t gave chairs or had tried to take reserved ones and we would wait an hour or two to get the ones we paid for every day. It was a stressful situation every morning when we couldn’t just relax. Then to see the owners chairs sit there empty on the front row was a slap in the face. Now at 1:30 they do remove name tags of owners that haven’t come down but to try to move all your stuff and then try to get your paid set moved would have been a nightmare so we just stayed where we were. Other places we have stayed would always have our 3 setups together “reserved” so they we didn’t have to scramble every day and then wait to get all of them. Not sure how only a select few renters here get the reserved status that the owners get. We paid a hefty rental and extra for beach set up and never had a guarantee of when we could actually get set up on the beach. I think Vacasa needs to explain how the beach service works because all day long you hear people upset about it and the one beach staffer having to explain it over and over to angry people. Also as you can imagine the beach staff start getting frustrated and aren’t too friendly with their interactions. Had we not had to go through this every day we would have had a more relaxing vacation and I would come back.

The house has a beautiful layout, great views, and very easy access to the beach. However, we were disappointed by the lack of maintenance. Most of the pans had peeling Teflon, the freezer wasn’t working, and one of the bathroom cabinets was missing a panel. The Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay, and instead of fixing it, we were given the password to a nearby unit. The community amenities also felt run down—tennis courts were closed and damaged, and the pool bathroom roof was being held up by metal poles, which looked unsafe. For a group of 8, it was frustrating that we were only allowed one umbrella and two chairs at the beach. With some updates, this place could be wonderful!

We enjoyed the condo overall. Some minor hiccups.

This place was beautiful, well equipped and in a wonderful location. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The WiFi didn’t work very good but we had service and didn’t mind so didn’t bother to have it looked at. Customer service was great and easy.

The view, the close to the ocean, and all the restaurants are 15 minutes otless away…
