The condo was perfect for my husband and me. It’s situated in the middle of everything
I think this was the ninth time we've stayed in this unit.Over the last five years, so obviously we love it and highly recommend it... Can't wait to come back in the Spring.
This is our third stay at this condo and we absolutely love Gulf Place Caribbean. Upon arrival, our condo was clean, however, there is no hiding the fact that this unit is in need of some serious TLC! Furniture is worn, bed is uncomfy, baseboards are filthy, walls need touch ups and fresh paint, bathroom could use a remodel and kitchen could as well. We love the location and proximity to the beach but we will not be renting this unit again for these reasons. We have stayed at other units in this complex that were much more updated and cleaner. We were a little bummed about our unit this go around and won’t be renting this unit again, but we will be back to Gulf Place Caribbean in the future!
Nice apartment with a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony.
The view and location are the absolute best, but that’s where it ends. The condo is what I call “surface clean”. It really hasn’t been properly tended to in awhile. Cobwebs in the corner behind the tv, the dishwasher had food chunks left in it, the vacuum was so dusty and didn’t work great, the iron was ancient with rust stains on it and it didn’t work great either. Many outlets were not usable as our plugs would fall out of them! The LVP flooring was coming up in several spots, but the worst was in the bathroom where it was sinking in!!! The patio door was broken and the bed omg the bed… the mattress was awful due to lack of firmness, but the bed itself was so squeaky and flimsy. Any movement was heard!! The last straw though was the several clothing items that got ruined by their washer and dryer. Very old set that didn’t clean well and put holes in our clothes and left burnt marks!! I called Vacasa and they did send someone out to inspect everything, but the items needed replacing and more time to address so after some back and forth we were relocated to another unit and I’m still waiting for reimbursement of my clothing items and the inconvenience as this took more than half of our day. The pictures look great online, but this unit needed some serious TLC. Oh and the items provided in the kitchen were not great and lacking (e.g., I couldn’t bake anything in the oven due to no cookie sheet).
The unit was great but the bed needs to be replaced. It was squeaky and every time my husband turned around, I was bounced around like I was on a catapult. The room was nice though other than that little issue. And there wasn’t a hair dryer. I didn’t notice until our last night there, so it wasn’t a big deal for us. But it might be for future guests. There was a lot of storage space in the bathroom so that was great. And the kitchen had everything we needed. View was great. In-unit washer /dryer was great. And proximity to elevator was perfect for us.
