Stylish condo with lagoon pool & beach access - snowbirds welcome

Only critique is that I should have brought my own blankets, as the ones provided are basically top sheets. It was so cold at night (October but with 89° days 70° nights). The agency for this rental room was timely with links and addresses for my travel preparation. They don’t tell you parking is a $10 addition until afterward but that’s the only surprise. I didn’t need to contact them for anything. Everything else is fine from the perspective of busy vacationers who aren’t spending a lot of time in the room except to shower/sleep. The facilities felt safe but definitely look a lot older than a property built in 2003, not sure why. Much much older crowd around here as well. If you’re not using the Sandestin marina side amenities, get a hotel on the gulf side instead, it’ll be the same experience but better located.

The room we stayed in was nice. Location not so much.

We been calling 3 days before our check in date to get the link for parking payment but no one send us a link instead they’re pass us from one department to another. There is no front desk the entire time we were there. The tv remote is not working.

I would not stay in this unit again. It is the bare minimum, with old, stained, uncomfortable broken down furniture. TV remote was broken so my children weren’t able to watch any streaming services. I reached out and they brought new batteries (they took so long my husband actually went and bought batteries first), once we got their batteries, I put those in the broken remote and thankfully I picked the remote up after an hour or so and it was very hot to the touch! Like about to start a fire hot. We had 1 working elevator and after a 6 day stay, we probably waited over 6 hours on elevators. Would have taken the stairs but my husband is medically disabled and we have a 2 year old, often with a stroller. The beach is so packed because Sandestin sets up chairs and you are told you are not allowed to set up in front of them, barely leaving any beach to play on or set up. None of the free resorts amenities (besides the pool) are included in your stay if you book 3rd party. Apparently that includes hotel staff, because they were beyond unhelpful and rude. The beautiful property, pool and the wharf saved the trip for us but still left disappointed. Check out took us over 2.5 hours due to the elevators and not being able to locate any carts. This is my first negative review ever, it was just that bad. If I were in a normal hotel, I would have asked to switch units or my money back.

Just what I needed for a weekend getaway!! Everything was within walking distance. I plan to visit again soon!!
